Good flavor and quality. An easy way to spice up sauces for Mex and Tex Mex dishes. A good mix of flavor and heat that’s easily adjustable by the amount used. I often use a portion of a can then keep the remainder in a seal refrigerated container for a week or so.

The flavor is exceptionally tasty. It has no artificial flavorings, colorants, or chemical preservatives, and minimal salt and sugar. It consists of whole, soft chipotle peppers marinated in a tomato-ey, onion-y adobo sauce. I ate all kinds of Mexican food all over Mexico for 15 years, and take my word, this is good stuff. The spiciness is very moderate; you can tone it down even more simply by using less, but it never reaches any extreme level of heat. I add it to omelets, pasta sauce, dressings, spreads, and anything I can think of, especially meat, fish, and poultry dishes of all kinds. At $1.49 per 7.5 oz can, it's also quite a bargain. I stick with the San Marcos brand; that's what I refer to here. Let me know how you like it!
