Review: Five Stars - For the price you pay, this is a great CPU. It's great for a workstation, and even has it's merits in gaming. Although it may not be the best CPU on the market, it's rare to be a bottleneck in any computer worth less than £1000 *** Pro's *** - CPU works great, it has longevity and I never encounter any issues with it - CPU has overclock potential which is nice to know - Unfortunately this CPU doesn't come with a cooling fan like many do, so you'll have to buy this separately *** Con’s *** - In some more taxing systems this might not be the right CPU for you, as it might not be good enough Great CPU for work systems, and also with gaming. I'm able to run almost all games on the highest graphics at a consistent 60 frames even with a 2k monitor.
Review: Solid processor, definitely worth upgrading if you have an i3 9100f or lower - In January I bought an i3-9100f after reading some decent reviews on it's capabilities, however I found it was bottle-necking my PC performance in most games. I upgraded to an i5-9400f thinking it would be enough, but I still struggled with performance. After purchasing and installing the i5-9600kf I noticed the PC was significantly more stable in games. Paired with an Nvidia gtx1660S I was able to achieve 50-60 fps at 1440p with high settings in RDR2, and most other games I get a stable 60-70 fps even at 1440p with high/ ultra settings. Those same games would only achieve 50-65 fps at 1440p with the i5-9400f and it was much less consistent, so it was definitely worth upgrading. If you are thinking about the i5-9400f or anything less powerful, you should definitely consider the i5-9600k or 9600kf. Note that the KF range do not provide graphics (signified by the F) so if you need to use CPU graphics instead of GPU you will need the i5-9600k, not the 9600kf.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid processor, definitely worth upgrading if you have an i3 9100f or lower

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great performance and OC
*by P***O on 3 October 2020*

Just upgraded my pc build with an MSI z390 A Pro mobo and have been able to get this baby to 5Ghz with a core of 1.34v. I'm getting temps of 30 degs idle and high 60s load with a decent cooler. This particular model the kf doesn't come with onboard graphics or fan. My last cpu was the legendary 2500k had both so if you're coming from an older gen be aware that this is just the cpu. Performance wise I'm hoping that I can get though a few gfx card gens before it becomes a bottleneck, I had to upgrade my 2500k@4.7ghz as it was struggling and holding back my 1660s. 3dmark cpu score is around 6960 which is 13% improvement on the base settings (turbo up to 4.4ghz?), so not bad. Intel have given less room for enthusiasts to squeeze more performance than in previous gens. I was seriously looking at the ryzen which gives superb multithreaded performance which is useful for multitasking and processing tasks however I don't use it for this, mainly for gaming so i stuck with the tried and tested intel. The ryzen wasn't really that much cheaper.
