I believe this is the 3rd of 4th purchase with this seller, with one return... zero issue

Got 3 for the price of one GE brand version without the metal ring.

So googling the HotPoint gas Dryer, you find a broken knob is a big reason the dryer won't start. It's a piece of plastic that breaks easily. This one added a metal band which hopefully will be more durable than the original one.I pulled off the original knob and replaced it in literally one minute and my dryer is working again.We will see if the metal helps - but it seems an intuitive fix.

Giving it two stars , only because it looked well made. I wish it worked. Didn’t fit Hotpoint washer or dryer. The D hole was to large.

I have an older GE electric dryer that has had the Timer/Cycle knob strip a few times, resulting in the need to replace the push-on knob several times throughout the years.Although these are smaller overall than the original I was replacing, they fit the shaft and do the job. The fact that they are smaller in diameter overall may actually make these sturdier than the original.Since it comes in a three pack, it saves having to re-order if they do end up stripping like the original. (I have two spares ready to go.)The cost for the three pack was just about the same as buying a single knob.Buying it through Prime made it far more cost effective as compared to buying one and paying for shipping from the manufacturer.
