I have a Nikon SB-900 speedlight, will that give enough light for this umbrella?

In my opinion, you’ll desire a stronger, broader light source. The 900 will work, but may have difficulties filling the full 7’ effectively. Perhaps if you used a diffuser, but you’d be loosing power.

Any recommendations for a lightstand that would support and hold this large umbrella?

I use this umbrella often. It's fabulous. I use 12' stands, not because of their height, but because they have wide bases. Personally, I'm using the Manfrotto 12' fold flat stands #1004BAC. LOVE that they fold flat and lock together for transport. All metal connections too.

Does this umbrella fit my Profoto D1 shaft?

Hmm....I have not a clue? I have no Profoto gear, Elinchrom and Buff stuff, and they work fine in both, I would think they would fit your D1's as well.

Does it come with the defuser?
