These work great for the end of the hose and for attachments. We don't use them for hoses permanently installed feeding drip systems or irrigation timers as they leak a bit. We do find them easier to close and open. Some brands are very hard to pull back the locking sleeve after a few months or years in the sun. These have held up well so far. Have not noticed corrosion problems yet but that might be a concern when mixed with brass. There are two types of these connectors - those with a flat sealing washer, which is squeezed between the end of the quick connect male insert and the end of the hose threads, and the o-ring style. I prefer the Orbit brass o-ring style connectors which last for years, and don't leak when the hose connection has a sideways force on it. But they are expensive and hard to get lately. The flat washer style like these leak a lot if the hose is pulled sideways, so they work really poorly at the hose bib end, which gets a lot of load when someone yanks on the hose. This style also works better on very high quality hoses with beefy machines brass ends, not the stamped sheet metal ends of cheap hoses. I've bought these at least three times now. They appear well made and work well in the right situations. Time will tell how they hold up.
