It's dog food.
It's cheap. I know it's not a high-quality dog food by any means, but I don't really buy into to craze about animals being impacted because they eat Pedigree or Iams or Dog Chow as opposed to gourmet, ridiculously expensive, "healthy" dog foods. I've known hundreds of dogs that ate the "healthy" stuff and still passed away before other dogs I've known that lived off of Ol Roy. I don't think the quality of life for a dog is measured, at all, by the food he eats. Can it impact it? Sure. Cause him to lose/gain weight? Absolutely. But, like I said, this is just my opinion. My dog is as healthy as can be, he's active, our vet loves him and is amazed at how healthy he is (we rescued him, and was in horrible condition when we rescued him). So, he'll be getting this Pedigree for the rest of his life, as far as I'm concerned. Only negative? It makes his breath smell TERRIBLE. But, such is life.

No Longer a Great Price and Convenient!
UPDATE: went from 5 star to 1 and this is why: I just happen to check my email for December's Delivery and the price went from $12.97 up to $16.99. I WAS getting 2 bags so that means price jumped up an additional $7.64 after the 5%. I can get this at walmart for 12.97 and still get 10% off everyday. My parents also subscribed to this since so that they would have food for Roscoe but I would rather stand in line at walmart than pay that much more and so would they. If the price were to go back down, I would go back to this but until otherwise, I can not see spending that much extra money.Once I saw this with PRIME, I could not hold back. It is normally cheaper than Walmart even with a 10% unless it is on roll back, but to have it delivered to the door free and set up for the end of every month, and not having to stand in line for 15 Mins. for dog food, how much better is that!!! oh, wait, by setting up the subscription, you save 5% on top of free shipping!!!!!Edit: I forgot to mention I have a 5 year old Pit/Basset hound mix. imagine that for a second. The Pit Muscle mass and build with the height and joints of a Basset hound. Our vet told us to look for something that has joint care in the name for food. Other than when he sits for extended periods, his paws fall a sleep, otherwise he still has the energy of a puppy minus the chewing of my shoes!!! I give him 2 - 2-1/2 cups a day and wet can food every other day depending on what I am cooking that night.

KUDOs TO AMAZON'S CUSTOMER SERVICE.
The 5 stars is for Amazon's customer service. This product made my dogs have diarrhea and vomiting immediately. I sent Amazon an email that the product must be defective, because I'm a regular customer of Pedigree. Amazon's customer service was exemplary, and they immediately refunded the purchase price. My dogs recovered without further issues once I stopped feeding them out of this bag. I think Pedigree is having an issue, because I bought another bag from PetSmart and my dogs had the same issue. Also, a salesperson at Petco told me that they no longer sell Pedigree due to ingredients now are being obtained from China. The dogs are eating no grain, no meat by products, no chemical or preservatives dog food now. It is getting very difficult to find pet food these days. My dogs were severely affected by the dog food recall, and I was feeding them very expensive and high quality food at that time, which is why I switched to Pedigree.

Everyone knows brachycephalic dog get bad gas, but their diet can be modified to ...
I have a French Bulldog and he loves this kibble. It's designed to promote healthy joints and we intend to keep our little guy runnin' and playing for as long as he can. You can't be the price and for bulldog owners, let me just say this: it really helps with their gas! Everyone knows brachycephalic dog get bad gas, but their diet can be modified to reduce the flatulence (this product certainly helps). We had formerly been using Royal Canin--which also worked great for the gas--but it was expensive and he grew tired of the dog food after awhile.

Let me start out by saying my dogs love this food
AMAZON YOU OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED!!!!Let me start out by saying my dogs love this food. I switched them from a pricey designer dog food about 6 months ago on the advice of my vet. I have senior dogs that have joint issues and this food has helped greatly with their mobility. what I am greatly disgusted with is the fact that from when I placed my order 2 weeks ago until today when I got on to order again the price jumped from $12.97 a bag to $16.99 a bag. so I did some searching and every other web site I have looked at as well as my local wal mart is still selling for 12.97. Please explain this to me AMAZON. All I can say is SHAME ON YOU! I will be buying my dog food elsewhere from now on and I will be watching the prices of everything I order regularly and if I see this again I WILL cancel my prime membership and I WILL NOT order anything from AMAZON ever again!

Decent and affordable food
My dog doesn't love it but he'll eat it. I see no benefits, but when money is tight, I have always bought Pedigree instead of the expensive "good" foods. I had one dog that lived past 13yrs old and I fed her Pedigree every day. My now 9yr old huskie is happy and healthy, if a tad bit overweight. And for a bonus, part of their profits go to help shelter dogs.

Not as listed on webpage
While this was very reasonable, the list of ingredients were incorrect. The 1st ingredient and 4th are both corn, both of which were overlooked,in the website description, making it the Pedigree we all know and love.her stools were noticably yellow, possibly food dye.May box with more nutritious dog food. What more do i have to say to fulfil the amount of words required to submit this review?

Medicine Within
My "best friend" looks much like the guy on the front of the healthy joints Pedigree dog food; quite appropriate for bulldogs who put lots of pressure on their joints. I was spending almost $70 bimonthly for a joint relief med from the vet. I started him on Pedigree Healthy Joints and when I ran out of the med, he was fine without it. It's been over a year now and the Pedigree Healthy Joint is keeping him mobile. He is almost 10 years old and he can still make it up onto the couch to keep me warm and smiling!
