    Big, expansive, and pleasure to use

The recipes are all wonderfully varied, a little something for everyone's tastes, and the instructions are clear and concise. She is a born teacher, very connected with her audience. If you tend to be more of a visual learner, I highly recommend her Craftsy class, "Latin American Street Food." Having the video lessons to go with this book are better than a cooking class because you can go back to them both again and again.

This is a very good cookbook. Bought it used in "very good" condition through Amazon and it was as new. Wonderful range of recipes for small plates entertaining or just plain eating. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful cookbook with glossy pictures, but a lot of cookbooks have nice pictures and then you read the recipe and find it tough to follow. Not here. Gutierrez has a breezy, clear writing style that gives a little history in the beginning and then divides the recipes up not by country but by type: Taco Truck is a chapter, then Latin Bowls, then The Sandwich Maker...and so on.  The glossary in the back is helpful, too, since you can look up each country to see the recipes throughout the book. I'm glad I purchased this. The introduction alone is full of information (who knew pizza would be a street food in Argentina?)
