Useful information hampered by flawed presentation.
More like 2.75 due to presentation issues. As many reviewers have noted here, this is novice level, very basic information that Joe is presenting but, you've got to start somewhere, and this information is about one of the foundations upon which much else depends. The material that Joe is trying to lay out for readers is indeed useful and valuable and, if the SHTF, may even be critical and lifesaving, but for a slight work of just 73 pages which is devoted to teaching us about and familiarizing us with equipment that we -most of us--presumably have not seen or are familiar with--and which relies on several drawings and quite a few pictures (28 to be exact) to do the familiarization and teaching, it seems obvious to me that it is imperative that the pictures in question must be very clear and crisp.Unfortunately, just as with Joe Nobody's prior work, "Holding Your Ground," while the line drawings used are of excellent quality, many of the pictures here in "Tuxedo" are again very muddy, sometimes out of focus, and unclear, and about as far removed from "crisp" as possible.Message to "Joe"--it can't cost much, hire someone to take some decent pictures, and the effectiveness of your books will be massively improved, and if the problem is with the printing of what are already decent pictures, then get someone new to do your printing.I note, too, that there are several, increasingly annoying instances where the number of the picture we are referred to in the text is incorrect. Look, there are less than thirty pictures involved in the entirety of "Tuxedo," how hard can it be to make sure that the text, when referring readers to this or that picture to clarify something, is referring us to the correct picture? The fixes are obvious, better quality pictures and/or printing, more attention to detail, and better proofreading are needed for "Tuxedo" to live up to its true potential.

Excellent book if you've no idea what to wear
Written from one person's point of view, this book goes in-depth about not only what to wear in a TEOTWAWKI situation, but more importly how to wear your gear. Of course, i have to stress one person's point of view, as there are as many different ideas as there are people to point them out.Nonetheless, the book is a useful resource, especially if you have little of no familiarity with military web gear, past or present. the author points out many pros and cons of numerous systems, and shares his own experiences. He makes one really great point that I personally agree with - all the supplies in the world can't help if you don't have them with you, and the only way to ensure that is to wear them on your person - and that takes planning.Overall, I'd recommend this book to anyone just starting out as a "prepper", and for those who may want to update or revise their own gear.

The TEOTWAWKI Tuxedo: Formal Survival Attire
This is a guide more for the "Novice Prepper" in selecting and using Mollie gear. It is a very good guide in the selection of Mollie equipment and usage, however it over looked the older Alice system which still is very good kit. Most of his opinions are valid and useful, with most reviews mine have there faults too in especially when it comes to equipment as mine is a mix and match of what I find useful or practical.

It's alright but nothing you can't youtube.
I was a little disappointed since I bought all three books they have several duplicate chapters and or information. I heard a interview on a podcast and Joe Nobody really shined, he needs outside help fleshing out this book. But hey support the guy he seems like he is just trying to help out fellow preppers and there isn't anything wrong with that. The book was priced right and if thats the only book of his you bought you'd never notice what I said in my first sentence.

Dress for success!
Like any honest survivalist wannabe, I don't wanna ever use anything I've stocked or any of my gear - I like my modern comforts and entertainments! That being said, Joe Nobody provides some really great, practical and thought out advice - with some twists that no one else has ever really stated before. After reading the first chapter, I actually stopped what I was doing and put on the gear I'd been accumulating - and discovered the exact same flaws - I'm glad I didn't discover this too late. I made changes based off this information, and really am pleased as hell that I was able to take information from someone else and make improvments to my own situation.

Another good book
pictures could greatly be improved, but they get the point across. This is another valuable book to read from Joe Nobody. I am not related to Joe Nobody, even if i wish i was (he has some nice kit i wouldnt mind trying out!)this book goes well with the others. if you think you will get a full spectrum overview of everything having to do with survivalism you need to also get the other books in the series (holding your ground, without rule of law, homeschool shootist, and the fiction series holding their own)looking forward to any future offerings from Joe Nobody

Basic but good info
I bought this when i was first considering load gear primarily for hunting which i do frequently. I learned a lot and it helped me better utilize my system. Worth the money, especially if you are going to spend some money on gear. You will easily make back your money by avoiding poor purchase decisions.

Great Info, but needs better quality pictures
I also have this authors book Without Rule of Law, and I have the same complaint....the quality and quantity of pictures in this book are lacking. The information is great and very informative though. Would recommend this author and his books to those looking for information, but if you are a visual type person, this may not be for you.

Very informative
Interesting reading. Some topics, firearms for example, were not relevant to my situation, but still worth knowing. Overall a good, clear summary of this aspect of prepping.

Don't waste your money
I bought this book for way more than it is worth. While it does have some useful information, it is not worth the price. It is 86 pages with large print and pictures so there is not much substance to it. Save your money until you find it for $3-5 used somewhere
