The net is pretty sturdy. However the handle broke upon first use. Update. The vendor addressing the issue immediately. I'm giving it another try.

I have not yet had the opportunity to try this product on an actual fishing excursion; however, my indoor inspection and testing of the product have left me very satisfied. The folding and telescoping features of the net and pole are easy to utilize. And the pole appears to be reasonably sturdy when fully extended. The product is compact and light enough to be an easy addition to my backpacking gear for my longer hiking trips into the wilderness. It is also easy to attach externally to the daypack that I use to carry my fishing gear when I am driving to a fishing location. It would be nice if the product came with a velcro strap to wrap the net tightly around the collapsed pole when it is being transported. Another nice addition would be a stuff sack to compress and protect the netting when it is being transported in a backpack or other gear carrying bag. These items are easy to buy separately and I will do so to help keep this equipment protected. As most of the fish I catch weigh under 5 lbs with only a few of the bass or catfish I am lucky to catch even roughly approaching 10 lbs.; I believe the netting will be sturdy enough to hold whatever I catch without sustaining any tears or damage. However, for someone who wants to use this net to land bigger fish, I would think they may encounter some problems with the net tearing. In summary, this is a pretty good and easily transportable fishing net for a very reasonable price.

Update: The company reached out and issued me a refund as well as a new net free of charge. 10/10 customer service, I’m glad to see a company stand behind their product. The new net has worked extremely well and I couldn't recommend it enough. Total junk. It snapped while landing a 5 pound catfish. Maybe this one was just a dud, but to have an item break on the first use while being used for its intended purpose is simply unacceptable.

This is by far the worst product I've ever purchased on Amazon. The pole is very weak and will break easily. This was my second time purchasing this product. The first time it broke removing a 10lb koi from my pond, I thought maybe that was to heavy. But the second time I was only removing leaves and the pole snapped again. No stars wasn't an option.

Good size net with solid build quality and reasonable durability for the price. I really like that the handle collapses and the frame folds, making it compact and easy to carry—perfect for backpack fishing or small-space setups like a canoe or kayak. Not sure of the exact weight limit, but it handled a 5lb catfish (pictured) with plenty of room to spare. Great value for what you pay. 10/10 for compactness and convenience.

Update: The company reached out regarding my review and refunded my purchase. They also offered a replacement but I did not want to send them my shipping information (per Amazon customer warnings in the communication). I liked this net because it folds so it would be easy to store. I used it to catch fish from my backyard Koi Pond. Unfortunately, the hinged connection broke during the first use. The aluminum was too weak for the weight of the water and some wet leaves (not a lot, just a few).

...and I don't have a large tackle box (19" wide). This thing addressed every need that was in my head and then some. I wanted something inexpensive and it was the least expensive by a lot as I recall. I wanted something easy to open and fold - check. I wanted it to fit in the bottom of my tackle box - check. I wanted it to be lightweight but sturdy enough to do the job - check. I wanted a full size net and mouth on the net - check. If it isn't obvious, I was impressed. I figured it would be a last resort kind of thing sitting in the bottom of my tackle box but it is a genuinely solid product.

Definitely think its worth the price but don't think it will lift over 2lbs extended out the better handled net for 20 is a way better net

Bei der ersten Benutzung gleich kaputt gegangen. Sah bei der Lieferung schon etwas billig aus aber das hat manchmal ja nichts zu heißen. Dieses Produkt hätte man trzd einfach zurückschicken sollen. Hält absolut nichts aus und ist sofort in Zwei gebrochen. Ärgerlich…
