I love this gps. It gives good route directions. It is impressively good in all ramifications, It does not have Truckers tools. Meaning It will not follow truck routes, it will not show weigh stations. Scales and so on.. As a trucker, I use this GPS as a supplement to my Gamin truck gps. Xcody should improve on the volume, it is just too low for my liking. In the absence of that I give it an A. I recommend it

Well I needed to start using the gps again for work. Kept getting me lost and didnt know a good number of the roads I needed to get to. I decided to see when the last update was done on the GPS. It was last updated in 2014!!!! I bought it brand new ( allegedly) on dec 31, 2020. I email the company for an update. They send me the link so I think good. I then couldn't get my computer to even recognized the GPS when it was plugged in to the computer. So I couldn't update it. I contact Amazon and they gave me a full refund. Thanks Amazon. I then send an email to the manufacturer of the gps to tell them about the problem and see If i could buy an actual new fully updated gps and of course they never responded. If you buy one of these gps make sure you check the update before you use it. I will just go back to Garmin. Way more money but you get what you pay for. I do see this GPS gets a lot of good reviews so maybe I just got the one bad one.

So yes I am a real American who lives in Detroit Michigan!!!! I bought this as was recommended from my boss.. now in the past I've used the Garmin Dezl series and they work fine but cost 4 times what this costs!! I ordered mine on a Friday night and got it Saturday morning!! I've used several dash cams and GPS units in my 20 years on driving big truck. I'm here too hopefully squash some of the other reviews.. 1 YES IT TELLS YOU POSTED SPEED AND YOUR SPEED!!! 2 IT SHOWS THE PROPER TIME AND PROPER ARRIVAL TIMES!!! 3 I CAN'T HONESTLY COMMENT ON LONGEVITY AS IVE ONLY OWNED A WEEK!!! 4 IF YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, WATCH YOUTUBE VIDEOS, CALL A FRIEND, IT ABSOLUTELY WILL FOLLOW TRUCK ROUTES AND WARN YOU IF YOUR ROUTE REQUIRES YOU TOO ENTER A NON TRUCK ROAD AND YOU CAN ACCEPT OR REJECT IT!!!! 5 THE VOLUME IS LOW EVEN ON THE HIGHEST SETTINGS.. 6 YOU CAN SET IT UP IN MILES FT AND INCHES ( AMERICAN STANDARD ) SO IT READS CORRECTLY.. bottom line, this is very similar to the older PC Miler units from Ark Technologies back in 2010. I absolutely LOVE MINE so far and if it holds up over time there's really no reason to ever get anything else.. Some of the review I read are UNBELIEVABLE!!! this is NOT a 500 dollar Rand or Garmin that's gonna do everything automatically!!! You have got to set it up the 1st time!!! Setup profile number 1 ( you get 7 spots ) as your big truck or rv and name it accordingly. When it asks you which profile your driving select the appropriate one and drive on!! Sorry for the long review, just thought maybe I could answer some of the questions I had. I'll update if anything changes.

Works great for our skoolie (40'). The only 2 issues we've had...1) even at max volume, its kind of difficult to hear, and 2) remembering to check every month for updates. UPDATE: After a couple months of use (3), the unit died and would not turn on again. Did not charge, nothing. Was great while it lasted, but will not be buying another after all.

Even though the other reviews praise this gps (and that's what I went by) I'm disappointed in this gps. I'm a truck driver, and sometimes you have to rely on the gps, but when it brings you to a low bridge (3 times in one day) you get disappointed with it. It says it's a truck gps. You set it up with your height, weight, length and width, but it still brings you to low bridges, it's not a truck gps, it's a car gps. The screen is big and easy to read, but you should spend a little more and get a better gps.

Going to be as fair as possible. As for the accuracy about 3.5 rating. Being as fair as possible. Would better if the route settings would allow more options. Also auto correct to the more likely route instead have you pull a u turn or next exit to go back to the previous exit. When you are in areas like Chicago this behavior with GPS is frustrating. Normally I have route directions to my stores I'm delivering so I just ignore GPS will eventually auto correct. I ignore the GPS attitudes. As for truck routing 3 rating. As for the brightest of screen at night or very early morning doesnt tone back enough causes your eye distance in cab of the truck to deminess not very good. 3 rating. As for the screen clarity 5 rating. The mount for the GPS needs to be more beefed up. Electrical plug up needs to be moved to the back or the right side of the GPS My overall review is a 3.5 if i lower my expectations for the amount of money that i spent to achieve my overall needs and be very fair I could see a 4 rating. It is hard to compare this GPS to Rand McNally there is just no comparison Rand McNally has alot of issue too. I'vespend $600 on a GPS that is not working. This GPS I purchased is serving my needs till the other big money GPS gets fixed. Let's be fair 3.8999 rating.

I was surprised after reading great reviews that this GPS didn’t work for us in California. I am sorry, but this GPS took us to residential area and straight to traffic area. My google app did better. It does contain a lot of great features but does defeat the purpose of what I bought it for to avoid the traffic and to take only truck routes. I do not recommend getting it if you live in California.

First off, the instruction book does not match the device illustration. When the device gives you directions before you get to the street which the device will say turn at, before I made it to the light it’s already giving you your next turn. It did not avoid the clearances I asked it to avoid certain clearances… it DID NOT. I was in down town New York what a freaking disaster, it took me around and around which made it difficult in a motorcoach. I had to call another driver to come get me. I must have been drunk when I purchased this device no way I would have ordered this off brand name commercial gps. Another thing, if you have one charging port you cannot plug up any of you other devices. I should NOT have to buy a dual charger! The mount has already stop sticking to my windshield, it fell several times I had to pull over those several times. Don’t no one have time for that. I’m going to buy me a $300 Garmin now I have to wait another 6 days for it to be delivered——-I need it for my new job! Don’t buy don’t buy don’t buy! Don’t buy! I might as well used Truckers Path which is unreliable as well. I did not and would not have chosen this model, come to find out the seller sent me that garbage. Not only that but some how he blocked my return stating that I ordered 2 but only sent back 1!!! Like I told and questioned Amazon to read my review….what am I gonna do with 2 pieces of garbage when I don’t like the 1. Like I said it’s garbage and no commercial driver should buy from this seller. They do bait and switch. Beware!!! I ended up buying from Best Buy on line, I wish I would have thought about them. 5 days later I’m still harassing Amazon for my return which they acknowledged seeing the return! To prove I was right Amazon offered me $10, NO l want my $100!!

DO NOT BUY AS THEY'LL SHIP IT WITHOUT TELLING YOU THEN IF YOU WANT A REFUND YOU HAVE TO GO MAIL IT BACK AFTER WAITING FOR A MONTH AND THEN GOOD LUCK WAITING FOR THEM TO RECEIVE IT BEFORE THEY WILL REFUND YOU. ASK THE WHILE I'M UNSAFE AS A TRUCK ON THE ROAD OR I HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER ONE AND MONEY TO THEM WAS WASTED.
