Have had this beauty for three years, now, and I am pleased to say that it has not tarnished like other costume jewelry often does. In fact, 1928 Jewelry does not even cause my skin to change color after just a few hours of wearing it. I seem to have bad luck with a lot of costume jewelry, regardless if it happens to be a quality brand; however, 1928 jewelry has never caused this problem for me, either. I think you will be very happy with this pretty, very feminine necklace.

I measured the chain at 16 inches. How do I adjust it to the advertised 19 inches?

I don't know other than adding on on one of those 3" extenders. You cab buy them at your nearest Walmart or online for 1ea goldtone, silvertone and gunmetal. That is what I did because I wear anywhere from a 20" to 36" chain.
