Samsung DVD-E360 Region Free DVD Player with USB Input - Plays PAL/NTSC DVDs From Europe, Asia, Africa

Just received it today and plugged it in. Tested a French DVD and a British DVD and both of them played fine. The DVD player arrived with the following:* a cable (red, white, yellow) for audio/video in/out* a plug for US voltage (attached to the device)* a remote control* a manual in SpanishFor those of you who need a manual but don't read Spanish, it's available online in English from sites like this one: manualdp.com/samsung-dvd-e360. As for connectivity, I used a spare composite cable (green/blue/red) because my particular TV didn't support the cables that came with the DVD player. The standards keep changing, so your results might vary. The player has a USB port on the front, but I didn't have a spare USB cable on hand. So far so good, and the price was very reasonable. I'll try to report in again on this device after I've had it for a few months.

When I bought this, I had a lot of those little nagging questions. Would it have a North American plug? Would it play all regions off the bat or need some special codes entered? Would I be compromising picture quality? Well, in the few quick moments it took to inbox and setup, I was more than pleased with my purchase. It's super easy to connect. As simple as any DVD player in fact. Plug is standard US two prong. The default settings are for NTSC video output. It was as simple as connecting and popping in one of my British DVDs.Picture quality is on par with most DVD players. You have choice of either composite or component video out (component allows progressive scan at 480p). Audio is either RCA stereo or digital out. Instruction booklet is in Spanish but you can quickly and easily find the English as a pdf online.The other features are extensive and I haven't tested them out yet. You can connect USB for pictures, music, and video files you may have. You can rip CDs to MP3 as well through the USB connection. It can even do karaoke!!!I definitely recommend this if you're like me and want a cheap, easy way to play British (or any other region) DVDs. Only negative that I can think of it is that internal mechanics are slightly louder than the other players in my house. For me, this isn't problematic as much as just a noticeable difference. Otherwise, I can't recommend this player highly enough.

Since many report all-region players stop working as such, important to report on what they do. This product is Mexico Reg 4 as some say. Booklet is in mexican but most DVD words & functions are universal & obvious. Can look up a few spanish words.Reg 2 & Reg 1 work, so far. Was sold as "region free" with label added to box. Somehow player readout & screen text were set for english. THey must have set this for all-region at factory since box obviously was not opened & resealed. No sign of unpacking & handling, no fingerprints. I chose this player because was cheap (less loss) , & many reports available on how to reset region. Dont mess with it untill must. Two other all-region players from amazon quit being so after months. Unclear what changes them. Do some disks mess with program? Watch out for VCT company which would not send free help when their Thailand player quit (years ago). And no one makes good after 90 days, yet players can work decades.Controls on player & on remote did not work right at first; note p 13: press play 5 sec. By chance in my struggles i must have done that. THen all works. Beyond that, easier & nicer control than some players. Set for DVD play is not obvious; use menu & go to third BIG symbol on right with "gear wheel" (we dont think of film sprockets with digital disks). Main deficiency is no number buttons to go to chapters or time easy. .

The remote for this is small, but effective. The DVD player itself is mostly fine, though it won't play some home made DVD's my Japanese in-laws sent. And the menu system on this is a little annoying. It just seems like some more thought could have went into it.

Excellent, excellent and more excellent is what I say about this Multi Format DVD player/recorder.It plays all regions, and the PAL or NTSC formats.If you are an American and you have foreign dvds, then this is for you. This machine will play American region 1 dvds in the NTSC format .This machine will play region 0 in the NTSC format.This machine will play dvds in region 2 on up in the PAL format.This machine will play any dvd. It is terrific!.It also has Karaoke which I will never use. This machine is capable of recording which I will use. The instructions or manual are in foreign languages, so I will need to download the English manual online.I do not understand why there is not an English manual. The remote is just fine and very easy to use. I am very happy with this Multi Format DVD player/recorder/Karaoke machine.It is so simple to set up. If you are looking for an inexpensive Multi Format DVD player /recorder you need to purchase this machine.

This DVD player is great! I've tried playing 3 different regions so far, (British, US and German DVDS) and all have worked! Awesome buy. The remote, which is mentioned in other reviews, works great, so not sure what other people meant. Buttons are small, but I don't find that a hinderance. JUST FYI, there is NO HDMI hook up for this, its plugged in by those old color cables, so if you have a VCR already, or a really new TV with no outlets for cables, this will not work for you. But I have a 2014 Smart TV, and it works on mine. Hope this helps!

Bought 3 of them to use as gifts. Tried one out and despite a little transport noise of the machines gearing and door, the units work quite well. The progressive scan resolution looks good at 576p PAL lines(using 3 component cables as inputs) and while not quite high definition per say still looks quite acceptable. The remote is small but functional.Manual is in Spanish but a local internet search will lead one to find an English language version.The best feature of this machine is the ability to play disks ALL REGION DVD's which causes many media producers worries because any world area programming can be played back-for how long is the real question? We are currently using the player to watch region2 material (UK area) DVD s with great success. I may keep an extra 1 as a spare-they are that good. Get 1 or 2 of these while you can as they are a deal !

Works great.. fortunately I had a friend to hook it up because the only pamphlets I got are in Spanish. I would not have had a clue as to what went where....

We bought this to replace our broken karaoke DVD player. This is a great product and user friendly. The pictures are great as we all expect from the Samsung products. The only cons we can think of that the remote is too small. The buttons on the remote to control the karaoke audio/key/echo is a little awkward. It will take sometime to get use to.

Like the product. Now I can watch European dvd on my ntsc TV.
