Can I use this for posters without having to worry about ruining my posters?

No, it is a permanent type adhesive. It will either tear your poster or the paint right off the wall. My walls were ruined by these, they are not worth the aggravation.

How do I get these off the wall without ripping all the paint off??

Simply slowly twist whatever you have attached to the wall. I’ve done it dozens of times.
