Noisy Peekaboo Vroom! Vroom!

My 18 month old son loves this book. There are 4 peek a boo flaps on each page. 1 of the 4 flaps is a noise flap. He loves to lift them and look at the items under the flaps. I bought the book used and the batteries didn't work. Ended up spending another $8 on batteries but well worth it. Only thing I wish is that the flaps were stronger, they crease easily.

Even if you change the batteries. It didn't make any sounds at all. It could had been great over all except the best part of having it make the sound/noises of the different vehicles doesn't work.

This book is very frustrating, it is cute but the sound only works on one page. We have other noisy peekaboo books and they have similar problems. We will not purchase any more.

We were given Splash, Splash (another book in the series) before she was born and it is one of her favorites. When she goes to the bookcase, she pulls it off almost every time. In fact, we can get a little tired of reading it over and over. I got her Vroom Vroom for Christmas. It is the same concept but I've noticed a couple of small differences that keep me from giving it 5 stars: 1) the sound senors have to be held near a light to work--they can be a little stubborn (Splash Splash can, too, but not quite as bad) 2) the flaps on this book are not as sturdy/thick as the Splash Splash book, so they seem like they will bend and get creased more easily. Since she lifts the flaps herself, I'm not sure if they will hold up as well. The pictures are great and the sound effects are fun (my husband did comment tonight that she may not know what a US fire truck sounds like, since the fire truck in the book is a British siren sound--ha!). Once you get several books from this same company, you'll start to recognize the same toys and babies, which is kind of fun, too (we also have Playtime Peekaboo and Baby Peekaboo--she loves them all).

We have several of the peekaboo books and have the same problem with them, they only make the noise if we are in a brightly lit room......sometimes we want to read as a bed time story and we usually have dimmed lights at that time. Other than that the baby enjoys opening the tabs and turning pages.

My car-happy 14-month grandson loves this book and chooses it over and over. Another Noisy Peekaboo book had trouble making sounds unless the little "eyes" under the flap were positioned just right, but this one works great.

This is now my son's favorite book. Just be warned if your kids are little they will immediately try to rip off the flaps! We have about half the flaps left but he still loves it.

Bought this book for my 10 month old to keep him amused on a flight and he loved it! It's a great ' peekaboo' style book but with sound effects as well... Perfect!

I liked the book but the problem was it didn't work. , it was a shame . but I did get the refund and bought some thing else for the same price.

Be wary. The first book didn't work. I had to return it & get a replacement.
