Would this be good for deshedding a husky?

Yes. I am a professional groomer. I would bathe, soak in a good conditioner and rake/brush with conditioner still in and as you rinse conditioner out. Then follow up with the high velocity dryer. Dying in a line... Make sure you go until the dog is completely dry, as much of the hair comes out as it is about dry. (Plus prevents that wet dog smell.). Hope this helps!
