Nice upgrade - Some flawless, some great features some not so good!
Bought as an upgrade for my Kia Picanto. I have some comments about this Pioneer AVH-7500BT: Relevant Features: - It comes with 1 USB port in the back, 1 Aux, remote control, CD/DVD Player, Bluetooth and mic to integrate with your cellphone, Video Output for use with headrest screens or some other, backup camera ready, and a lot of features like pandora app integration, Pioneer apps... - In some way it interacts with my iPhone when it comes to the music that I have been downloaded with iTunes. - Easiness of installation: I'm not such an expert but I just checked some videos and completed the installation by myself. You just have to be sure to order your car's harness appropriate cable, antena adapter, the steering wheel interface to preserver this function (when applicable), also in my case I ordered an extra apple Lighning cable, and the backup camera. Yes, a lot of extra accessories but if you want to use all the functionalities I suggest you to consider it. And don't forget the brake bypass cable. - Smooth integration with my car's speakers (also thanks to the harness adapter). - Retractile screen with adjustable position. There are a couple of things I would like to remark as pros and cons from my point of view, but that no necessarily would apply to everyone of you guys. Pros: - Replacing the factory unit, it was a really great upgrade with media player functionalities and the touch screen, - Pioneer finally forgot about proprietary cabling to attach your cell or iPod, just use your USB cable and that's it, - Video resolution is quite good, - Easy and intuitive interface, even to upgrade the firmware, - Auto play for some devices when you plug them up, - Includes a mic with a quite long cable which would allow you to attach it as close of your face as you want to improve your communication when calling thru it with your cell phone, Cons: - Bright adjustment should be more accessible because the brightness on this particular screen, in my case, needs to be adjusted during the sunny days to appreciate it better, but during the night I have to use lees bright and the option is not easy to find. - I use some music applications like Spotify and Amazon Prime Music, but if I'm listening something on any of them and plug the lightning cable to connect it to the car's unit, it star playing my music from iTunes. I'm kind of annoying with this behavior. - No Carplay integration, - No HDMI port, - Une USB port is not enough these days. Everyone have a cellphone and probably you need charge and the other one have the music. - No low profile form factor. No removable faceplate so it will always be exposed. There is much more to comment about this but to resume, in general I'm really satisfied with this upgrade but I sincerely believe that Pioneer have a lot of work to do for their next firmware update. I hope this help some people to decide whether or not to buy this unit.

Just needs a few things
I am pretty happy with this unit. The selection field for higher quality single DIN DVD players isn't very expansive, so I chose this one after a few days research. The sound quality is nice, bluetooth works great with my verizon samsung phone, DVD playback looks fantastic, iPOD integration works perfectly. On the con side, Pioneer should have included way more functionality for Android phone users. All I can do is use the phone, playback my music, or stream Pandora. It would be awesome to be able to use my phone's great nav apps and a web browser on the unit's screen (It is set up to do something along those lines with an iphone and pioneer's app). Also, it isn't satellite radio ready, which seems like an oversight. In my opinion this radio is perfect for iphone users who don't want satellite radio, and the suitability gradually declines from there. It is still a great unit those few cons aside, and I still rate it 4/5 stars.

Great product no problems
It works great and I have installed 6 speakers to it, 2 4X6's and 4 6X9's, it's pretty simple to use and it has about 3 different ways to turn the bass to how you like it. There is no lag when I use it and I also bought the CD-UI201S cable with it so I can plug my iphone 4 into it and use my pandora, music, and videos from the radio. it looks clean and sounds great. The only thing that really needs to be worked on is the AppRadio. The Apps that are used in it, MyPV especially, Is just a not well made program that is in half Chinese, and if the video has any cussing in it you wont be able to play it. They need to add the music, video, navigation, etc., so that its easier to go through those iphone apps. Just need some work and I'm using the default, out of package, firmware for it and I do not know if they did anything else with it other then that. Since the AppRadio is pretty new I don't expect must from it for right now. Other that that it is a great radio to have.

Pioneer can't get their act together
Well, it's been 28 days since I purchased this item, very close the return deadline now. Pioneer has been promising a firmware update for iPhone 5 compatibility for this unit for months now -- I encourage any potential buyer to check out all the hate on their Facebook page before considering this product. Pioneer have missed their own deadlines and blatantly lied about the cause of their delays more than once. Meanwhile they are happy to post about new products that "need no firmware update!" It's a slap in the face to their customers and has made me think twice about purchasing anything from Pioneer in the future. UPDATE: Pioneer finally released the firmware on May 30, after literally sitting on it for over a month (the firmware files are dated April 25). Their reason: the update breaks Pandora integration and apparently five weeks wasn't enough to rectify this. Doesn't matter in any case: the screen jammed this morning. Pioneer customer service was useless, suggested I take it to a local shop for repairs because they don't handle their own warranties. Major WTF on that one. Amazon, on the other hand, was more than happy to accept a return. Back it goes!

Pioneer lists this system avh-x7500bt as Iphone 5 ready If you purchase the pioneer cd-Iv202av with the vga lightning cable. Hope this was helpful Chris

iPhone Customer, Please be aware of compatibility issues
The radio itself is great, quality sound, Bluetooth works, but if you expect a clean integration with iPhone 5, you may want to wait a little longer. In my opinion, Pioneer is struggling with iPhone 5 compatibility. In fact this radio needs a caution, since you must choose between Navigation and the iPhone5 interface. The radio only has one video port so its either navigation or iPhone5 connection. I was surprised Pioneer didn't have a pass-thru port on the navigation feature or a second port on the radio. You have to search for this information in the installation manual. It should be on the Pioneer product web page in the accessory section. Even the Pioneer Premier installation dealers was surprised by this issue. When the dealer contacted Pioneer support he was informed that Pioneer was working on an interface cable to allow both accessories to work together, but I later learned this was not true. Pioneer expects the customer to use a navigation application on the iPhone 5 instead of their Navigation accessory. Normally, one could say that using an iPhone5 application for navigation integrated with Pioneer Appradio mode would work but the integration is not clean. Its just too early. Pioneer may iron out the problems over time or in the next release of the radio, but for now its simply too early. I experienced the following in my pursuit to resolve the technical issues. Pioneer technical support seems to push the blame over to Apple, and to some degree this may be true. Apple is great at raising the bar on new technology, but without the ability to connect to other products, the iPhone 5 and possibly future iPhone's becomes a great product than only works with other Apple products. In my opinion the two companies (Pioneer and Apple) need to work closer together before releasing any future compatible products. The Pioneer-Apple iPhone 5 interface is just too buggy right now. I give Pioneer credit for being first to market with iPhone 5 compatible car radios, but maybe they should consider adding WIFI and using the Apple Airplay interface rather than try to get some less than reliable cable connection to work. If Pioneer can get Apple's AirPlay to work on home receivers then they should be able to do so on care radio's. Apple, you need to help your premier partners by certifying the products are utilizing the standards you've established for your products, otherwise the perception will lie with your products ability to work with other companies products. Eventually people will get tired of the issues and move on to a product that works well with others. Don't get me wrong, I love Pioneer products. I will order one of the digital receivers with all the functions included in the radio (like Navigation) and make sure the ratings reflect a clean working integration with iPhone 5. I thought this was the radio since it was a new release and the web page indicated the X7500Bt was compatible with iPhone5. Hmmm... It certainly wasn't my experience with this radio. I was fortunate that Amazon and their vendors allowed a return, so I can carefully research the correct radio I need for my vehicle. It was a learning experience, so I wrote this review to make sure others are aware of the issues. I prefer not to return anything I buy, but when needed it's great to know the option is available. Best of luck to you!

A very well unit to purchase you'll never dissapointed, the sound is spectacular, you also can receive and send calls affordable into the car or truck, I install in my mazda 1994 truck and fits very nice, and also included a 2 pairs of focal spks a subwofeer 8 inches JL and 4 channel amplifier JL too, the sound is clear chisp and amazing! The connectivity with my iphone is flawless. I used the screen for my rear alpine camera, and I dont use the dvd unit but the screen is fantastic, it's work perfect, and I see only one time the dvd, because my wife go for shopping and I waits her in my truck, I see one picture on this new unit and I enjoy the colors and the sound. Great Headunit. Critical Issue. But 5 Stars Regardless.....
I ordered the AVH-X7500BT headunit and fell in love with it from the box. installed with a Parking Brake Override Bypass Fully Automatic Video in Motion for Pioneer Models AVH-X6500DVD AVH-X7500BT AVH-X8500BHS and it works fine, however, a small but critical issue. I am not able to play videos from a USB. i have tried ALL the formats compatible with the headunit. i can play videos from a DVD and I have a buddy who has the same model headunit. his videos are working on his, they aren't working on mine. I'm not even seeing the "media" button that you touch to switch media types. i saw it on the initial install of the headunit but i only had HD videos on my USB so it didn't play. since then I have never seen the media button option. (I readjusted the video format on the USB to DIVX and MPEG4 480x360) OTHER THOUGHTS: I'm currently investigating this issue and have already contacted Amazon, who are more that willing to replace the item, but i'll do so once i confirm it's an issue with the headunit and not the Parking Brake Override Bypass Fully Automatic Video in Motion for Pioneer Models AVH-X6500DVD AVH-X7500BT AVH-X8500BHS or any other issue on my end.
