Beautiful color by itself and mixes nicely with other colors

I don't think there is one Daniel Smith Color I don't like but many that I LOVE. I'm not yet sure about this color yet as I'm just starting to work with it. It was recommended by Color Guru Jane Blundell, so thought I'd give it a try. It IS a beautiful, soft, sandy color and suspect I'll be reaching for it more than I think this moment and therefore, not yet sure its versatility to rate it. From the few fast Paintings I've tried, it does enrich many surrounding colors and contrasts. Clearly if you are a Ocean or Water Landscape Painter, its a no brainer must. I'm more that Landscape Field Painter and have already tried it in areas of ground cover, rocks and some distant building structures. Lovely. It reads in value much darker than I thought it would. Would recommend and nice addition to ones' Palette.

takes some getting used to but i enjoy working with DS colors. be careful when first using- a lot tends to come out of the tube with very little pressure Their 24 1/2 pan collection and 12 1/2 pan Inspiration colors palette are a pleasure to use- good mixing/blending and layering. most colors are lovely

This is definitely one of the very best versions of Buff Titanium! Well, it is Daniel Smith, so I guess it's to be expected. I've only recently started purchasing Daniel Smith tubes and this is such a lovely color on it's own, but absolutely perfect for mixing with other colors (even from other brands!). If you're looking for good buff to add to your palette, I highly recommend this one! It's nicely saturated, yet perfectly transparent when mixing. A perfect neutral mixer.

This is a great color, one that is indispensable for painting undertones in animal fur. That said, I personally recommend putting it in a pan and letting it dry before use. I always find DS to be really "sticky" and gummy fresh from the tube. Once panned and dried it worked great and is a lovely, lovely color.
