A group of friends are always playing tricks on each other. When some new kids, a brother and sister, come to Shadyside High, they are quick to welcome the pair into their group. Only when a joke goes wrong do they begin a freak and panic.I love reflecting back on my teenage years and reading R.L. Stine. He never ceased to amaze me and I could read book after book, especially fear street series.

R.L Stine's the New Years party was well written and will keep you guessing till the end.In the start Beth and her friend Karen are attending a New Years party Karen disappears for a while when two men grab Beth's brother Philip John and hold a gun up to his head and say they will kill him it turns out Karen was behind the who thing and Beth storms out and accidentally run over a important person and ends up killing her and her brother in a car accident many years later a new girl named Liz and her P.J move to fear street and join a group with Reenie and some others they play a prank on P.J and Liz and P.J goes missing then gruesome murders start to be committed to people in their group What's going on did P.J do it or is something more evilAt work?The age group I would recommend read this is 11 and older because it's very bloody and gruesome

This was a great book, if you're into R.L Srine books then this is the book for you.It's a real page turner, an exiting thriller, and full of twists and surprises. Now enogh jibber-jabber, what about the book?PROS ABOUT THE BOOK.great mystery.full of exitig murders.lots of suspense.intresting characers.full of detail.the 2 storys nicley flow togetherCONS ABOT THE BOOK.not an original (the book has the same plot as "the lost girl: a fear street novel"). obvios ending. a little dated. first third of the book is bbbooorrriiinnnggg.no action in the book except the last 3 chaptersIn conclusion this book was ok for R.L. Stine( especially since he has sutch high expectations) you should buy it and I hope you enjoyed my review..
