Flannelette Complete Set with Duvet Cover Pillowcase Fitted Sheet New Soft Warm Bedding (Winter Animals, King Complete Set)

I live in Germany, where flannel bedding is hard to come buy, so I tried ordering it from the UK via amazon UK. I was surprised to find this item for only £21, about a third of the price of such items in Germany (when you can find them); so I didn't mind paying the £20 shipping. But what arrived, though indeed pretty coloristically, smells like rubber and feels stiff and rough to the touch like cardboard. After washing it with softener, the condition has improved a little, but the smell lingers and it still feels rough to the touch. Cost of shipping this back makes a return uneconomic; so I suppose I will try to sleep in it... but i am NOT looking forward to the experience. if you live in the UK, feel free to experiment; but if you must pay for shipping at all, stay away. There is a reason why other flannel bedding is a lot more expensive: they are made of better quality cotton.

Very cosy,duvet cover very thick and heavy could be difficult to wash and dry. Good for cold nights Update to review, after a few weeks of use.As I thought the duvet is lovely and warm for the colder weather and does take a while to dry after washing , however I noticed the pillowcases fading and wearing quite badly after a short time .Not the duvet cover it is fine

I Bought this set as a present, The person is really pleased with the bed set & is amazed how warm & comfortable the flannelette is, its the next best thing to an electric blanket.

Quality material. Arrived well packaged. Cosy. Darker tartan pattern on one side than the other on both duvet and the pillow case so you could have a change around for a bit of variety. Buttons snap together securely on the duvet cover. Am very pleased!

Ideal for cold winter months. If washing instructions are adhered to, comes up a treat. Some may find this a little on the heavy side, but the tog rating of the duvet itself may have something to do with that. For cosiness would buy again.

This duvet cover is the best one I've brought from Amazon. It's actually like the ones we had in the 80's, you know with a really soft feel. Really warm, great for the cold weather. Would definitely buy again.
