Replaced 3 of these within 12 hours, amazing! These were replaced 10 yrs ago. The 10 yr signal beep started to go off.. I ordered the exact model inorder to use the same base! Replaced all 3 within 30 minutes.

Excellent and easy to install 2nd one and they last long

Bought and installed in April 2018. In july it started to beep sometimes without smoke. Last week it started to beep at 330 am but it somehow went off after a couple of frantic button presses ( had to get a step ladder to get to it, half asleep) . This evening when we got home it was screeching continuously - and nothing would turn it off , until we ripped the sticker and turned the screw ( which makes it un usable after that). We didnt trust that would shut it off permanently so we threw it in the garbage far away from our home to make sure it didnt start up again in the middle of the night like those severed rattler heads that still bite ...Lasted in total all of around 4 months out of supposedly 10 year life . Real poor design ( false alarms galore , have to unscrew it , turn it upside down then tear a sticker and turn a screw with a tool to turn it off while its screeching unrelenting with no smoke whatsoever , and then its useless once you do that- go figure ! )

Wonderful and reliable smoke detector

I would give it a 5, however, it's a 10-year warranty and the manufacture date was 2022. So, I guess I have a 7-year warranty, huh? Still, it's a very reliable unit.

Easy to install.

This smoke detector is a great value. When the Fire Marshall told us that all (80) of our 9v battery operated 5yr smoke detectors needed to be replaced with a 10yr lithium battery smoke detector we cringed at the expense. Luckily we found these. Locally they are twice as expensive so we found it to be a great value and they were easy to install. Can't rate the battery life as we just installed them.

Sounded convenient. A few days past its 1 year anniversary it started emitting a squealing on then off sound, not a full alarm signal, it sounded like its fault sound. Couldn't shut it off (and there was definitely no smoke). Eventually had to flip the irreversible switch on the back that rendered it useless. Going to check with Kiddie to see if they'll replace it or i can get my money back (and will amend this review accordingly).
