At a loss for words
Warning, it's a long read, but I wanted to go into deep detail. To start, I have been a Rainbow vacuum user for so long. I love them and felt they worked amazingly. Next, I have 3 dogs & a cat. One is a thick coat lab and the cat sheds so much as well. Another next, I have horrible allergies and wanted something that would help keep them calm as well. I also have a lung disease and need something that will pick up as much junk as possible to keep them clear. Now, on to the Shark vacuum. I got tired of lugging around the Rainbow and wanted to look into a vacuum that my daughter could use and help out. I found this Shark vacuum and 6 others that grabbed my attention. I dug deep. I read through every review, good, bad, indifferent. I wanted a vacuum that was going to truly pick up pet hair/dander, as well as pick up sand & dirt. I was drawn to this specific vacuum saying pet & allergen vacuum and loved that so many of the reviews said it had amazing suction power. I thought there's no way ut can be as amazing as most were raving about. After 2 months of digging and narrowing down vacuums, I was left with this one. I finally decided to purchase it and see what all the fuss was about. It came in today and I immediately out it together to the it out. I had just vacuumed with my Rainbow vacuum 2 days before, so I didn't expect much. Oh....my....gosh...! I am blown away! Seriously, no joke! The picture you see attached was after 2 passes over a 2' x 2' area in my living room. Not kidding...pushed it forward, pulled it back. Did this one other time. I was completely astonished! There is no way my carpet is that dirty after using my Rainbow 2 days before! I swore by that vacuum and how great of a job it did, so I thought. This vacuum pulled out dirt, sand, pet fur from 3 families ago, it seems lol. I immediately took this picture and dumped the resivoir since it was full. I was excited to finish the rest of my living room and then move on to the rest of the house. It took me 30 minutes to vacuum my living room because I had to keep stopping to empty the reservoir. I am grossed out that it was that dirty, but so grateful that I purchased this Shark vacuum. The vacuum is super easy to put together. It's not heavy and is easy to use. I love that it has the large vacuum and the option to break it down to a hand held vacuum to get baseboards and hard to reach areas. I also love that the power switch has 3 positions; Off, Bare floor, and carpet. I love that there is a place on the vacuum for hose attachments. I love that the power cable is quite long. I love that it's compact enough to fit in my coat closet, but large enough to vacuum the living room quicker than the sport vacuum. It makes vacuuming a breeze. The price is amazing for being a Shark vacuum. This vacuum is so amazing that I finished vacuuming, rinsed the resivoir and filter, put it away, and immediately sat down to write this review. Seriously give this vacuum a try! Your only regret is that you didn't get it sooner. I will update this review if anything changes. I am convinced this is the perfect vacuum.

This is THE ONE!
After getting so frustrated with my old upright vacuum, I did a lot of research and decided on this Shark. Wow! I knew my old vacuum wasnโt performing well, but one pass with this Shark proved it was even worse than I realized! With three cats, houseplants, tile floors, and area rugs, I needed something powerful, versatile, and easy to maneuver. This vacuum has exceeded my expectations! It transitions seamlessly between hard floors and rugs, and the suction is outstanding. Pet hair? No problem. It picks it up with ease and hasnโt clogged once. I also love the sleek design, how lightweight it feels, and how easily it glides around furniture. The brush head reaches under many pieces of furniture and cleans right up to baseboards. The floor-type switch is conveniently located and makes changing between surfaces effortless. For the first time in a long while, vacuuming doesnโt feel like a chore. My floors are noticeably cleaner, and I actually enjoy using this vacuum. If youโre looking for a powerful, well-designed vacuumโespecially for a home with petsโI highly recommend this Shark.

Sucking machine
Wow. If you want a vacuum that will make you feel like youโve previously lived in filth, this is the one. I have two cats and because of that I vacuum quite literally every single day. I recently purchased this vacuum as an upgrade since I will be moving to a new apartment that has more carpet than the one Iโm currently in. Once this arrived I decided Iโd better try it out so I faced it with my living room rug and my carpeted bedroom and closet. The AMOUNT of dirt/dust/grime and hair that was in the tank after was astounding. This was NOT a large area, the floor appeared clean prior to even vacuuming, and yet it had sucked up 3/4 of a tank of nastiness. Iโm not sure Iโve ever felt so clean while also feeling so disgusted. It is a bit bulky but not too bad, not light but also not too heavy. The adjustable suction feature is nice because when using it on my longer length rug, trying to push it was nearly missing impossible until I reduced the suction. Over all, highly recommend. Amazing vaccuum.

Good vacuum but not perfect.
The good... This is a light weight vacuum with lots of suction power. I have a big set of stairs. I really like the light weight canister, that it can detach and be super light to carry while vacuuming tight corners and going up and down the stairs safely. It's a regular vacuum and not a stick but detached, nearly as light weight as sticks. With attachments I can vacuum the ceiling and air vents. It is super light while in the upright vacuum mode, especially on carpets. It was the best price I could find online for this particular vacuum. The swivel head is another good reason to buy. The not so good... 4 Stars because Shark this shark has a short hose which makes the use while the canister is detached somewhat cumbersome and there are pretty much zero extensions (pole extensions) you can buy that fit. I believe shark uses off standard hose sizes. I am going to try a specially made attachment (I got on Amazon) so I can use some of the standard attachments I already have. We've had other Shark vacuums and none of those attachments fit this one which is a major bummer. Still, it's still a good buy if you can get around the hose issues. Especially for the light weight and versatility of use while the canister is detached. There are great attachments out there you can buy, however strangely, not the pole ones I need. Still, this is a great vacuum for the price. Works well, Durability, good suction. Absolute buy. Update, the attachments I bought work great and make this vacuum highly functional.

3 cats 1 dog 4 humans, carpet upstairs and laminate flooring downstairs
I love it, its heavy duty suction but lighter in weight than others, the lift away feature makes it so much easier for dusting and/or hard fo reach areas. There's an option to turn the brush roll off for bare floors and brush roll stays off in upright position so youre not putting extra stress on the belt and/or vacuum! I love that you can adjust suction level easily too! The only adjustment would be an easier way to get to the brush roll out to clean it but thats the only downside. It works really well for us!

Powerful and easy to use
I still really like it so far after a month. I was looking for something that actually worked well, was not too heavy, was easy to deal with, and had a HEPA filter. It is powerful, transforms easily for different cleaning options, empties easily, and I like the color (purple). Only downside is have to hand wind the cord back for storage. Great value so far.

Light, Relatively Quiet, Inexpensive, and Really Picks Up the Dirt!
I'm replacing my nearly 40-year old Hoover Concept, not because it stopped working, but because I'm getting older, and the Hoover, which is built like a tank, has become a little too heavy for me to lug around. This Shark NV352 arrived today. It was easy to put it together, so easy I wondered if I had forgotten something. I tried it out on my living room and dining room carpets, which I thought were already reasonably clean. I didn't really expect it to pick up much. Boy was I wrong! It managed to pull out a surprising amount of dirt that the old vacuum had left behind. The dust cup was nearly full. So that impressed me right off the bat. I like that the main unit can be used without the powerhead to do the stairways too, which was always awkward with a traditional upright. The design seems well thought-out, the dust cup is easy to remove and empty, and the powerhead is narrow enough to get under my end tables, not possible with the Hoover. You can choose to power the rollers or not, depending on whether you're cleaning carpet or bare floors. Overall, I'm impressed. BTW, if you're put off by the "lavender" color, it's more of a medium grey, so don't let that dissuade you from purchasing this model.

It is VERY hard to push
First of all let me start out by saying that I am a perfectionist. My kids will tell you, my husband will tell you and pretty much anyone who knows me will tell you that I when I pay good money for some thing I want it to work well. That with my hope with the shark navigator lift away. I have owned one of these in the past and I donโt remember much about it other than I wasnโt crazy about it Way back then and promised myself I would never buy another one and I didnโt for a long time up until now . I thought with all the Positive reviews and all of the new technology in recent years that the shark would live up to the reviews that it has here on Amazon. I was wrong or at least I think I was wrong. I literally just received the vacuum today. Itโs also important to note that I have hardwood floors all throughout the downstairs of my 4500 square-foot home. All of the hardwood is covered with area rugs that are dark colors mainly because we built our house in 2005 and dark colors were in at that time. So, when we adopted two all White Rescue dogs, one of each one of which is very large and very hairy and sheds constantly, I never knew I would be vacuuming two and sometimes three times a day just to get rid of the hair. With that being said I needed a decent vacuum that could pick up pet hair easily and that is how this vacuum advertises itself. I now have three vacuums but most of the ones I bought in the past were disposable. If get a full year out of them that is a lot. Iโm not talking about cheap 75 or $85.00 vacuums. I am talking about vacuums that are $175.00 or more. I noticed some that might not think that $ 200 is an expensive vacuum and I guess it isnโt compared to the vacuums like Dyson and the other $1000 plus vacuums but to me $200 is still a decent amount of money and for that price I should get a decent vacuum. My past three vacuums have all been Bissells. I bought my first one about three years ago and was very happy with it so when it konked out I continued to buy that brand. . I still think itโs a good vacuum for the price but they honestly donโt last more than a year at the most and Iโm getting tired of doing nothing but buying vacuums every six months so I thought I would try The shark and give it another shot, especially after all of the good reviews it got on Amazon. I jus5 received it today. My husband took it out of the box and put it together in less than 5 minutes. I immediately tried to vacuum up the tons of white long-haired wired fur for that sticks into my area rugs from one of my rescues. In all honesty this brand new vacuum did not work much better than my one year-old Bissell vacuum, which was extremely annoying to me , but the thing that really irked me after opening it ( I did not know this before I bought it and probably would not have bought if had known) is that it doesnโt have a retractable cord. I canโt begin to tell you what a pain in the neck it is t wind up a cord especially one on a $200 vacuum. All of my Bissellโs have had retractable cords. I canโt understand why that is such a problem for shark because Iโve checked out pretty much all their brands and all of them have windable cords at least all the brands that have cords. . Anyway enough about the cord now let me talk to you about the vacuum itself. I think any brand new vacuum is gonna be great at picking up dog hair, after all itโs brand new. This one worked well but it was extremely hard to push on my area rugs. Also, at the end of the rugs where all the dog hair seems to gather, I had to push the vacuum at least three or four times to get up ALL the hair that accumulated there . It was very frustrating especially with how heavy this thing is to push!,, itโs not a Light back in by any means. When I read the reviews on Amazon, one reviewer said that the vacuum glides through their house !!! All I could think of is that they donโt have any rugs theyโre vacuums and itโs gliding on hardwood because it definitely does not glide on area rugs !!! In fact I ended up with a backache after I just vacuumed only my kitchen and sunroom. The Bissel was also a hard to push vacuum with but again itโs a less expensive vacuum and It did the job so I never really complained about it. Iโm still going to hold onto this vacuum because I do like the idea of being able to lift away the canister and vacuum the stairs which was definitely a pain with the Bissell. To try to lug it up the stairs and back down again when I was done. And I have a lot of stairs!! I will try to update my review After Iโve used the Shark everal more times I will let you know what I think but for now I am not overly impressed . itโs just my opinion . I guess itโs because I have a lot of continual dog hair that impedes itself in my rugs So it is probably a lot more for someone like me to vacuum than someone who doesnโt have any dogs or dogs that do not shed. Oh, yes there is one more thing I do you want to mention .The head on the vacuum is much smaller than the head of the vacuum on my Bissell But I donโt think thatโs a bad thing because it does actually get more places that my Bissell could not reach but again as far as ease-of-use it is definitely not easy to use.

Amazing suction power
So far, we love everything about this vacuum. I'm blown away by the power/suction it has. Not only does it pick up everything off of a rug, but also wood and linoleum floors (which is what we have mostly) but we use those vacuum-seal bags to store off-season clothes and linens and it sucks so much more air out sooo quickly! Our old vacuum was so lame compared to this one. But we have a big rug and a runner, and probably getting more rugs later. I like the fact that you can take the small canister off and use the extension wand to clean corners and up above on the ceiling (we have fairly high ceilings). It's also very lightweight and doesn't take up a lot of space. It fits in a cupboard we bought to store it, that is 16"x16"x 6'. We've only had it for a month, but our son and his girlfriend bought the vacuum and I went to look at it before we ordered it and they've had it for a few months and have no complaints about it. I'm really happy we spent a little extra to get this one. We haven't used it a lot, so haven't had to empty the canister yet, but my son showed me how to do it and it looks like a breeze. The other thing, is that it does pull easier than push and we're vacuuming a .5" pile carpet. Of course on the wood/linoleum floors, no problems. The one thing I was not happy about is that I tried to call the Customer Service number 15 min. before their posted closing time and they were closed and when I sent them an email it bounced. I've not yet pursued that, but I will. My son said they had no problems with them when they discovered they were missing one of the brushes and it was sent to them.. We also didn't get the pet brush that was supposed to come with it, but we don't have any pets, so not an issue for us. Overall, I'd say that this is a great product and with the short time we've had it, we like it.

Good for the price
Overall I'm happy with the vacuum as it's great for the price. Easy to empty and clean, and great suction that you can control. The carpet brush seems to have good power. The unit overall is light and easy to lift and manoeuver. One major con...because the unit is so light and the carpet cleaner isn't too wide, using the tube with attachments in almost any capacity more than 1 foot away will tip the vacuum or handheld unit over. Maybe the Shark hose is too stiff and doesn't extend well enough without pulling the entire machine. This gets extremely annoying if you vacuum frequntly with the crevice tool or duster. I'm comparing this to my dyson multi-floor 2 which is heavier and has rarely tipped while using the hose with attachments. However, I wouldn't fault the Shark as it's $500 cheaper. Also, I found it to be a challenge to purchase accessories for the NV352 through the canadian website. The current option seems to be to try and find them on Amazon or somewhere else or order from the US website and pay US$35 international shipping.
