Cooking with Spices For Dummies

Very interesting book. Very informative. I'm a salt freak needing to learn other spices so was very glad I got this book.

Interesting to read; I have learned a great deal about pairing spices for Middle-Eastern dishes, of which I enjoy very much.

I have only glanced through this book and so far I think I will be able to understand it. Also I will probably understand it more once I use it :-). I just have to gather the courage to try something different with some spices in it. I have bought several pieces I am not familiar with but I am chicken at least my husband calls me a chick. :-) I recommend this book because it seems to be in plain English.

This book is easy to read and understand it has different ways for me to check out how different spices can be used.

Good book

Item arrived on time. Only issue is that the begining of the book is coming a part...pages are coming loose from the binding.This was discoveredon xmas morning. I did not contact the seller about it because I did not want to deal with sending it back (paying to do so) so I just let it go.

Nice book if I would take the time to read it.

This is excellent if you are afraid of using spices or just what you may need for different meats, vegetables, etc. I highly recommend!

I love spices. I do.I collect them like some people collect stamps, the more I travel the more I get and for the most part I have absolutely NO IDEA what I'm doing with them!This book is very good, it contained for me all I needed it to. There was a lot of information about the individual spices and where they are from etcThen there is a few pages on kitchen tools and what to useA lovely chapter containing 9 common rubs (which now seem so much easier to make), then some information about marinades and oil / vinegars etcAnd then a good last 1/3rd of the book is mainly recipes, it focuses on recipes that the rubs would be good for, as well as different and original ones as well.There are still a few spices which aren't as common as others but to me that is just the joy of the hunt!I think what I liked most about this book is that the ratio between information and recipes is good. It is too easy (I know because I own books which do this) to just fill it up with recipes and while there are a lot in this, I have to say that they are ones I genuinely now want to cook because the books has guided you up to this point

I have long been wanting to find out about different herbs and spices and there uses, but was never able to find a book that really told me until i bought this one, it details every herb and spices with idea's on there uses and this book has really made a difference to the dishes i cook i would recommend it to everyone Cooking with Spices For DummiesCooking with Spices For Dummies

this book teaches you all about spices which is why i bought it but it also has recipes for soups, salsa, dips how to bone chickens, devein prawns (personally will never do yuk) but such a source of knowledge even on cutting techniques, already recommended to a friend and already purchased another book from this series this time soup making looking forward to it.

It's the first time I've had a 'for dummies' book, I hadn't realised how good they were. Everything is explained in a simple manner, without 'writing down' to the dummy.

this is a great book I love it
