Rite-Temp Pressure Balance Cartridge, Genuine Part GP800881, One-Piece Design Simplifies Installation and Maintenance

I got this to fix a drip in my tub faucet. This was the exact part I needed and I got a OEM Kohler Part. Great deal and this was pretty hard to find so I am glad I was able to get it on Amazon. It is nice because the GP800881 model has all the gaskets built into it. All I had to do to install it was turn off the water, remove the old one, dry up all the water left behind, and install the new one. You do have to make sure it's clocked right so that it will correctly regulate the water temperature. What I did was take a picture of the old one before I took it out so I could install the new one the exact same way. Worked great and the leak was gone once installed. Super easy to install!

We had on leaking and I removed it and cleaned it but the problem was not solved. After finding this part on amazon for the same price as the store and delivered in two days it was worth it. It was easy to install, fits well, works well.

Direct replacement and great quality.

I had a leaky valve in my airstream classic trailer shower and replaced it with this identical valve. Easy to replace and install. Price was a bit lower than the big box stores and free delivery the same deal was great.

This genuine KOHLER Rite-Temp cartridge (GP800881) was a breeze to install. The one-piece design really does simplify the process, making it a quick DIY job. It works perfectly and my shower head no longer drips water. My only complaint is that my previous official Kohler cartridge only lasted about three years, which seems a bit short for a premium part given the price point. I'm hoping this one has better longevity because the installation and performance are excellent.

Fixed my leaky shower

Never buy a Kohler product that uses this valve. This is my first and last Kohler purchase. I had to replace a broken showerhead, and on my plumber’s recommendation I went with Kohler, since he said it would be easy to service and find parts for. That turned out to be a huge mistake. Within less than two years, the valve started dripping. I bought a replacement, and within six months it also began dripping. Even worse, the dripping is inconsistent — some days it drips, some days it doesn’t. The most annoying issue is with the hot water. When I turn the handle fully to hot, the faucet never delivers truly hot water (and yes, I already adjusted the safety limit to maximum). Strangely, the showerhead produces hotter water than the faucet, which makes me think the valve is defective and still mixing in cold water even when set to hot. As a result, if I want to fill my tub with hot water, I have to use my other shower, which has a Grohe showerhead. Run away from this product if you can. Unfortunately, if you’re already looking for this valve, you’re stuck with it unless you replace the entire shower system. For me, if this fails again, I’ll rip everything out and replace it completely. What a waste of time and money. I feel insulted by this company.
