I use this around the perimeter of my templates with a few strips in the field depending on how large the template and it holds with zero issues even on heavy 2" trim cuts. I use a rubber mallet to secure the two pieces together and a heavy gauge scraper to pry them apart leaving no glue residue. It's been over 6 years that I've been using this same ST501 for this application Review: This double sided tape is excellent for pattern cutting as it pertains to woodworking. It's easy to work. You can tear it as easily as masking tape. It adheres and holds the pattern forms firmly. With no residue or tear-out when you pull your pattern off. Excellent product.
