Why do we celebrate HOLI: HOLI FESTIVAL (Unravel Festivals)

I read out the book to my 5 year old and she absolutely loved it. Its certainly worth buying a hardcopy and treasure it. This book is going to be a part of my kid’s bookshelf for sure.

It’s a perfect book. It covers everything about Holi!

This delightful explanation of the Indian festival called Holi is a must have for your home library. ‘Let’s Celebrate Holi’ has beautiful, bright pictures in it that your child will delight in. The pictures show the old traditional dress of Indian royalty, so he/she will learn this without knowing it. The text is simple enough for your child to grasp and understand. The story is very relatable so a child can understand it. Asking Grandma a question and she answers with a story. Or playing with your friends and getting filthy, getting presents, and singing songs like it’s Christmas! I’ve been given a copy of the book by the author for an honest review.

I enjoyed reading about one of my favourite festivals. The story of Holi was written in a such a way that kids could understand and relate to it. Holi Hai!!!

Great for young kids and for adults who need just a quick little understanding of the holiday. It made it fairly easy for me to understand the holiday.

I bought this to read to my daughter’s first grade class for Family Heritage week. I’m glad I ordered it ahead of time so I could screen it. This book is long and gets into too much detail about the gods, and the illustrations are awful. I am worried I would scare the kids. I returned it immediately and looked for another book. It might be fine to read to your own child, but it’s definitely not a good book for a class presentation.

I got this book to teach my 5 years old about Holi. He loves this book. This book explains very well why and how we celebrate Holi. This is a really good book for kids. Very easy to understand!
