An Absolute Must for Mead
If you're making mead this is almost an absolute requirement. I recently got back into home brewing and was making a few 1 gallon brews or cider, mead and beer. I noticed the mead was not attaining a vigorous or even mildly active fermentation after a week. After this product arrived, I added a tsp into the 1 gallon batch of mead and within 12 hours noticed a significant change if fermentation with bubbles going from 1 every 6-8 seconds, to 1 every 2 seconds.Going forward I will be adding this to most if not all of my brews.

Air lock started bubbling in less than two hours!
I like using the professional stuff, this is much better than using raisins. No taste. And idk if it was this or the yeast I used but WOW I got fermentation and steady bubbles in just over an hour, WOW

Not Exactly What I was Expecting...
So I ordered the 2 ounce version of the bottle. The package ended up arriving 3 days earlier than expected, much to my surprise, though it lead to a good deal of confusion as the product I relieved was not the exact one listed. Instead of receiving a bottle marked "LD Carlson Company" and "Contains Food Grade Urea and Diammonium Phosphate", I instead revived a resealable plastic bag marked "HomeBrewStuff" and with no mention of Food Grade Urea, only the Diammonium Phosphate. The bag is 2 ounces, just like the bottle. Now, for my uses, this shouldn't be a problem, but it was still not what I was expecting and could be an issue for buyers looking for something specific. Otherwise, I have no issues with the product. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I have yet to use it, so if it ends up affecting the taste of my brew negatively in a noticeable way, I'll add an edit to this review. That being said, I'm not too worried about it. It seems like a good product, even if it's not exactly what I ordered.

Yeast Nutrient
Works as intended

Contains Urea
This product banned in US for professional Wine Makers but not homebrew because it contains Urea which is a known carcinogen (cancer causing) I should have researched before buying, but strongly urge everyone else to not buy it. Use Fermaid products. Much better, no cancer!!

Not in a bottle
Unlike the picture on the listing, this size (2 oz.) came in a small plastic bag, not in a bottle, and I don't like (makes it harder to store and measure out). If I had known this before ordering, I could have saved the bottle from my previous one. Two stars off for inaccurate description!

Bought for the bottle as pictured but got it in an envelope
I bought this because it was offered in a bottle and pictured that way but I received an envelope instead. 3 stars as I'm sure it works the same but come on, sell what's in the picture.

Didn't match up
Advertising whether it be through words or photos leads a customer to believe what they are buying is what they read/saw. When the product(s) don't match --- a problem occurs.

Works good but deceptive advertising
As other reviewers have been saying time and time again, the marketing of this product is in fact fake. You are not receiving what is pictured and are simply getting a flat, sealed plastic envelope with the nutrient in it. You will need to buy your own container to store it in and are not receiving the one pictured.Product works great, but I'm irked by false advertising that's been called out time and time again and still not corrected!
