I was a little concerned they would not fit me because they are for children but they fit me just fine. I have an average to small sized head for a woman. They block out noise pretty well but not so much that you can't hear if someone says your name at a substantial volume to get your attention. My friends now all want a pair because they are such a good study tool if you have issues with noise like I do. My only complaint is that if I wear them for a very long time they hurt my ears but that is just because I wear glasses and so my ears get squished against the stems of the glasses. I think this problem is virtually unavoidable though so I don't think it was a design issue. For less than $20 you cannot beat this earmuff! Review: Life Saver! - My daughter with SPD loves these. We use them at Six Flags, in public bathrooms, and anywhere the noise becomes too much for our daughter. We keep them on hand and they have prevent meltdowns in public. We might purchase a second pair before our Disney vacation to just make sure we always have a pair on hand.
