I know the benefits of Tea Tree oil, so I hoped this shampoo would live up to the standards of the oil's reputation, and it has. I also use the conditioner, which is equally impressive. Both have the distinct "tea tree" fragrance, which I love. However, some may be familiar with the fragrance described as "medicinal." If that is a concern, don't worry as the fragrance does not linger. That does not diminish the effectiveness of the shampoo. It leaves my hair soft and shiny, and it alleviates itchy scalp. It's a tad pricey, but it's an impressive-size bottle, and it lasts because you don't have to use much of it to lather up.
