Polk Audio TL1 Center Channel Speaker, Center Speakers for Home Theater (Each, Black)

I've been replacing speakers in my ancient 5.1 system from 2002. This was the final piece of the puzzle and it's doing the job nicely. With surround speakers, it's difficult to say exactly what they're capable of since they're only in use part of the time and not performing a full range of sound, but there's clarity on dialogue and vocals and a warm, natural sound. I chose this model because the width fits right into my TV stand. It's a low-profile design. Without the cover on, it's a bit boring as I have some Klipsch speakers in my setup now, with their pretty copper cones, but even though a center speaker, it's not a center of attention looks-wise. Great price too.

This center channel speaker has taken my home theater to new heights. My setup is certainly not as elaborate or expensive as many others, but I have two speakers in the front and two in the rear and the center channel speaker really takes the sound to the next level. The speaker makes all of the dialogue just jump out at you and everything is crystal clear. So no matter what you're listening to, whether dialogue or music or sound effects, this speaker really is a great addition to any home theater system. It's affordable and nice looking and super easy to set up. It only took minutes. I would recommend it to anybody and certainly over a speaker that's hundreds of dollars or more.

very good replacement speaker... I am no audiophile... mounting speaker was very easy... sound is good at very high level, at peak on my denon theater system, of course its not strong enough, but price and build contruction very good, for which i base the 4 stars on...

Spectacular Center Speaker Polk is renowned for quality. I have eight of there in wall speakers as part of my home theater. This unit is small but mighty...infinity clear voice on the center...great fill when playing Spotify or Sirius music. Arrived on time packed perfect to assure no shipping damage. Beware of the installation options...far, for from perfect. I had to engineer a fix for my situation which did not hamper performance. You'll enjoy this investment.

Perfect center channel speaker for 3.1 bedroom setup, but I think this could hold it's own in a 7.1 HT as well. It's small, powerful, and stylish! Looks amazing with the grille on or off. Very clean dimensional sound with no muddle at all. I'm starting to wonder if this setup can take down my 7.1 THX Onkyo home theatre... it's that good in here now! I've got mine paired with a couple of Pioneer SP-BS-21s and a vintage JVC SP-PW800 sub, powered by a killer 1980s Pioneer XSX504S. My analog connection to FIOS is set to Laser Disc input, that's how old the receiver is! I just replaced a long outdated yet adequate KLH center channel speaker. Fresh out of the box I'm dishing out some Palladium/ESPN/AXS on the HD networks just to get an idea how rocked out I can get it in here. So far, I am more than happy with this little beast. Vocal clarity improvement - nice lows - really good highs - mids will warm over time I believe, but right now I have about 15 minutes of driver burn in and I'm still happy. Zero clipping at 3 o'clock and it is beyond loud at that level... Hook yourself up! You know you can pay more, of course you can! BUT WHY??? Save some cash and get this!!! (4 stars but it really deserves 4.5)

Replaced a old center speaker with this one also because my 2 satellites are Polks. Sounds great, we can hear the voices and the 2 front (Canton bookshelves) now do their job. Small so it fits in our wall unit but packs a lot of sound. Great price too. Some will find better units but for a medium room and 70 year old ears, it’s perfect. Highly recommend

I have a surround sound system but my center was ancient and muffled. Hard to hear voices. Not any more. Bit of a reflection off the top of the unit so I put black Japanese fabric tape on it. Covered the brand name on the speaker cover too. Sound is very very clear. Had to recalibrate the other speakers but I'm really happy with my Polk 🔊😀

As expected. Works ok for a small central speaker . Sits well on top of my samsung TV

Als Einsteiger Modell sehr zu Empfehlen. Für unsere Zwecke absolut ausreichend. Der Ton über den AVR ist klar und Bassig. Ist Täglich im Einsatz und erfüllt seinen Zweck.
