## Description

The dēzl 760LMT is the navigator with a big 7” screen designed specifically to make a trucker’s life easier. Not only can it guide you along a route customized for your truck and trailer, it helps ensure you’re in the proper lane with Active Lane Guidance. It also helps with IFTA and HOS logging. It also shows you exit services ahead, along with trucking points of interest (POIs). When you trust dēzl 760LMT to create a route for you, you’ll know it’s a good route for both you and your rig.Track and Report Your TripsThe dēzl 760LMT makes logging and retaining trip information easy. You record fuel usage, and the 760LMT automatically records state mileage for IFTA fuel logging. Log your hours of service and driving status, and the 760LMT tracks your hours and automatically warns you of HOS violations. Conveniently export all logs for improved reporting and tracking of each trip.See MoreWith a large 7" high-resolution touchscreen display, dēzl 760LMT allows you to see tons of information in great detail. Clearly follow the highlighted truck-friendly route, view truck warnings, notifications and alerts. And only a dēzl 760LMT includes exclusive Garmin Active Lane Guidance (ALG). ALG shows you constantly updated animation of the preferred lane to be in. It also includes photoReal junction view, which provides photo-realistic views of upcoming junctions to guide you to the right lane at the right time. All of which are especially helpful when navigating complex highway interchanges in unfamiliar metros.Navigate with ConfidenceWith detailed maps and turn-by-turn directions that speak street names loud and clear through the speaker, dēzl 760LMT provides specialized routing¹ to support truck-related restrictions in both the U.S. and Canada (customizable by height, weight, length, width and hazardous materials). Simply enter dimensions and load restrictions, and dēzl 760LMT guides you according to your requirements on a route that fits your load. The onboard Trip Planner lets you create multiple-stop routes and plan and save future trips. And, you can operate dēzl 760LMT with voice-activated navigation. It’s so easy, you just talk to it!NOTE: Always defer to all posted road signs and road conditions.Drive Safedēzl 760LMT keeps you informed of upcoming road conditions, such as sharp curves, bridge heights, weight limits, high wind areas and restrictions, including no trailer or hazardous materials. A grade data field that appears on the map enables drivers to anticipate descents and ascents and shift accordingly. Trucking speed limits appear if they are different than the posted automotive speed limit. It also provides mile marker information. Plus its clock automatically changes time zones and provides sunrise/sunset times. You also receive notifications when crossing state or country borders. For added peace of mind, there also is a video input for backup camera compatibility.Locate Trucking Service Areas and POIsdēzl 760LMT has truck-specific POIs to let you search roadway exits for truck stops, food, lodging, rest areas, service locations, tire repair and weigh stations. Truck stop information includes a list of services offered, such as WiFi, showers and truck scales. And enhanced exit services let you know what services are available at upcoming exits along your route.Includes Lifetime Map UpdatesRight out of the box, the dēzl 760LMT comes bundled with nüMaps Lifetime™. Which means you can download the newest map data when it becomes available — no monthly fees or maintenance costs — for the lifetime of your device².Includes Lifetime TrafficA combination power cable/traffic receiver in the box gives you traffic services for the life of your device. You’ll avoid traffic jams and keep moving when your dēzl 760LMT alerts you and offers detours. No additional purchases are necessary — it’s 100 percent subscription-free traffic³.Smartphone Link CompatibleSmartphone Link makes your smartphone the best thing next to your dēzl 760LMT. It’s an application available from Google Play. Smartphone Link creates a seamless navigation experience between your dēzl 760LMT truck navigator and an Android smartphone. It allows the devices to share information, such as saved and recently found locations, where you parked and your current destination. It also links your compatible dēzl to Garmin Live Services4, such as weather and fuel prices using your smartphone’s current mobile data plan. There’s no need for an additional data connection5.For example, a subscription to Garmin Live Services Advanced Weather allows you to receive severe weather alerts and view animated radar images on the dēzl.Make Hands-free CallsFor hands-free calling, dēzl 760LMT integrates Bluetooth® wireless technology with a built-in microphone and speaker. Just pair it with your compatible Bluetooth phone and talk hands-free through the 760LMT while staying focused on the road. Simply dial numbers with the dēzl touchscreen keypad to make a call. Enjoy convenient one-touch dialing for contacts and POIs.What's in the Box:dēzl 760Preloaded City Navigator® NT for North America Lifetime maps¹ and traffic² (indicated by "LMT" after model number on the box)FM traffic receiver with 12/24 volt power cable (vehicle power cable is the traffic receiver)Vehicle suction cup mountmicro-USB cableQuick start manual¹Only available on certain roads in the lower 48 states. Entering your truck’s profile characteristics does not guarantee your truck’s characteristics will be accounted for in all route suggestions. Always defer to all posted road signs and road conditions.²If you purchase a nüMaps Lifetime subscription (sold separately or bundled together with certain GPS models), you will receive up to 4 map data updates per year, when and as such updates are made available on Garmin’s website, for 1 compatible Garmin product until your product’s useful life expires or Garmin no longer receives map data from its third party supplier, whichever is shorter. A product’s “useful life” means the period during which the product (a) has sufficient memory capacity and other required technical capabilities to utilize current map data and (b) is capable of operating as intended without major repairs. A product will be deemed to be out of service and its useful life to be ended if no updates have been downloaded for such product for a period of 24 months or more. Unless otherwise stated, the updates you receive under the subscription will be updates to the same geographic map data originally included with your Garmin product when originally purchased. In some instances, your Garmin product might not have sufficient memory remaining for you to load an update to the map data, in which case you will need to either (a) select reduced map data coverage for your updates, or (b) purchase separately a microSD™/SD™ card (if and as applicable to your Garmin product) and load all or a portion of the map data coverage for your updates to the card and insert the card into the microSD/SD card slot contained in your Garmin product. If neither of the measures in (a) or (b) can be used to address your product’s lack of sufficient remaining memory, then Garmin may conclude that the “useful life” of your product has expired. Garmin may terminate your nüMaps Lifetime subscription at any time if you violate any of the terms of this agreement or your subscription. Your nüMaps Lifetime subscription may not be transferred to another Garmin product.³FREE lifetime traffic updates may not be transferred to another person or another Garmin product. Lifetime traffic extends for the useful life of your Garmin traffic receiver (as long as you own a compatible Garmin GPS) or as long as Garmin receives traffic data from its traffic supplier, whichever is shorter. A traffic receiver’s “useful life” means the period during which the receiver (a) has the required technical capabilities to utilize current traffic data service and (b) is capable of operating as intended without major repairs. Traffic content not available for all areas. See traffic coverage areas.4Subscription required.5User’s data plan charges, if any, will apply. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: does it have wifi?**
A: No it does not. The unit has Bluetooth to connect to your cell phone for hands free phone calls. It has a mini USB cable to connect to your computer for updates and it uses some form of radio receiver to get real time traffic updates.

**Q: I want to use it in my car to hook up a back camera with it, will it skip all the parkways and truck restrictive routes?**
A: No. You can set it to different vehicles. It does not have to be set up as a truck unit. It may advise that a route "may have" restrictions, but will not avoid them.

**Q: What is included in the box when you buy?**
A: Base unit, suction cup mount, 12v power cord which doubles as the antenna for traffic, usb cable.

**Q: What is the maximum number of stops on a single route?**
A: As I bought this for my daughter I had to ask her. She said seven is the most she has ever used.

    Great navigational aid

*by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on July 4, 2014*

The first thing I want to say after reading most of the negative reviews I've seen is that a GPS isn't designed to replace an atlas, available printed directions or your brain. It's a tool designed to be used in conjunction with these other resources. If it reports a particular route as being restricted to trucks that you know not to be, it will give you the option to accept responsibility and proceed anyway. If you're not sure, use one of the above mentioned resources and research your route. The routing information the GPS gives you is only as accurate as the information provided by the state DOT. If you have driven a truck for any length of time, you know how accurate (or not) some of that info can be.I've been a truck driver for a little over 32 years, off and on. I just recently started going "over the road" again after 12 years of local and regional driving and found that there are additional tools to make the job easier. I did a lot of research and settled on the Garmin Dezl 760.This is a very good GPS for my purposes. I drive for a company who's primary customer is a major manufacturer of golf cars. We deliver to country clubs, resorts, golf courses and dealerships all over the US. Some of these places are very exclusive and extremely remote. Most recently, I delivered a load of new golf cars to a resort community in Rociada, NM. You won't find that city in the 2014 Rand McNally motor carriers atlas. My Dezl 760LMT took me straight there, including about 3&1/2 miles of gravel roads, without a hitch. This unit is loaded with features, almost too many to mention. The free map updates and the live traffic info are great. The features no body really talks about:* The 7" screen with split screen mode and accurate pictorial representation of upcoming intersection lane requirements is fantastic.* Truck profile; You can program your truck weight, length & height and the unit will project your route accordingly. Obviously, this feature is most valuable for oversize loads. * Bluetooth phone connection; This feature satisfies the hands free requirement for all states, including the few that require no head sets as well. However, if your unit is mounted more than about 2 1/2 feet from your face, your party might have trouble hearing you so you might want to consider the optional external microphone.* Voice command; Program your destination and other features without having to use the keypad. Uses the bluetooth system so external mic might be useful.* Driver profile; (I don't use this feature.) This will keep up, electronically, with your log book. This units system is not accepted by DOT yet. My company still lets me use loose leaf paper logs and that's good enough for me.* Speed zones; .5 mi warning prior to a speed limit change.* Weight stations; .5 mi warning prior to a weight or cmv inspection station.* State lines or boarders; .5 mi warning to state lines* Construction zones; as much as 30 mi warning to construction delays. I don't pay for the optional traffic subscription so all I get are the state reported construction sites.* Traffic backups; as much as 30 mi or more warning of live traffic backups, including unreported construction delays.* Plus: Trucking search; including weigh stations, rest areas, truck stops (by name), parking areas, ect.I bought the "factory refurbished" unit on Amazon and saved over $100. It came with the factory new warranty and I couldn't tell it from new. This is a great unit and an extremely useful tool. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a large or commercial vehicle navigational system

    My trucking buddy!

*by C***2 on Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2015*

This thing is fantastic. It is easy to use, accurate, big enough to see, loud enough in a big noisy truck and the included suction cup mount is very reliable. It works with my Droid flawlessly, so hands free is just exactly that, hands-free. The usage is fairly intuitive, but count on spending some time learning how to navigate the many features. One feature I really like is the unit is aware of the roads that I should not drive on and routes me around them. If I have multiple stops I can put in a route and each place is a destination and them I can go on my way to the next destination. The was one little issue I had but I have learned to work around it. That is when traveling from Denver to Salt Lake, The unit always want to use I-80, and my Qualcomm instructions route me on I-70 and US 6. I just route myself through Glenwood Springs, and the routing matches what I need. All in all I really am happy to have purchased the unit and am pleased to have it in my truck. Garmin if you are reading this: please include a user guide, provide help software, or give me something that I can download. ( The provided link on your website does not work)

Good GPS, but could be better

*by P***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2014*

My husband has been driving a semi for nearly 36 years and I decided it was time to upgrade his GPS to a larger easier to see screen. This is the 2nd unit I bought (new) following the 1st one (refurbished) that quit working for no reason after just 2 weeks. Sometimes it's hard to understand the female voice and she mispronounces words often. For some reason, Garmin decided only 1 voice to choose from on the new one, whereas the refurbished unit had a choice of at least 2. Fairly easy to use interface once you learn how. Does a pretty good job MOST of the time an address is entered into the search bar. When exiting off interstates to go to a truck stop (that's existed forever), almost always will try to turn you around back down the interstate in the direction you just came from or tell you to make a U turn (seriously Garmin?? a U turn in a truck?), all the while showing "truck accessablity unknown" even when in truck mode.. What's the deal with that? Sometimes it will just power down for no reason and restart again. Graphics are OK, but does not show a lot of label detail such as points of interest, secondary roads, rivers names etc compared with an older Garmin we had that I had bought off ebay in which the software had been modified for trucking. Will darken the screen at dusk so it is easier to see which is very helpful. Lane assist in busy interstate intersections is a great tool that Garmin incorporated into the Dezl that our other unit did not have. One feature we really like is that you can search for truck stops, repair shops, Walmarts, grocery stores, etc. in the general area of where you are located along your programed route giving you the approximate mileage to each. All in all, a pretty good GPS unit, but like other reviews have noted...I wouldn't rely completely on this GPS for accuracy as any truck driver knows a good back up Atlas is imperative. Any GPS unit is only as good as the software installed on it and this one still has a number of "bugs" to be worked out. Today, I downloaded an update so we'll see if any of the problems have been fixed (or made worse!)
