EXCELLENT Unit-High Quality & Does The Job Right Every Time
The title really says it all-this device is, to me, essential for your automotive toolbox. It is compact, lightweight, and does the job without ANY problem. The device & accessories are very high quality with a substantial feel when you hold them in your hand. No cheap look or feel to any of it-neither the unit nor the cables/accessories. The clamps that hook up to the vehicle battery are extremely strong & solid. The charging cable is a 2-headed USB-C cable (both ends are USB-C). They make a wall adapter head that goes with it but you will need an adapter to convert the USB-C to USB-A (I did that & it works perfectly...you an find those adapter pieces right here on Amazon). NOCO even included a nice microfiber pouch for the unit to sit in so you don't have to keep it in the manufacturing box/packaging. Side note - NOCO does make a very nice $25 carry case for the unit-it is like a little suitcase-it holds the clamps in one side in a little pocket, and the other side is custom-cut to fit the device itself. I bought the carry case & I highly recommend it. You can keep the device in the microfiber pouch & sit in the case-it fits great; keeps it protected while storing it in my vehicle. So, as far as the unit's functionality & ability to do what it advertises - I bought it solely to jump dead batteries I don't care about the flashlight nor will I be using it to charge any other devices (although I will say the LED light on the end is pretty good & handy in a pinch if you don't have an actual flashlight on hand)... Jumping dead battery: I have a Dodge Charger RT+ ...it is a 5.7L V8 Hemi - I hadn't started it or driven it for a LONNNNNNNG time (drove only 50-100 miles a month but several months in a row it would sit in the garage un-used and this went on all year long) so even though the battery is in mint condition, nothing wrong with it-it understandably eventually died. [It's important to note that the battery died for only this reason-if you have an issue with a sub-par or malfunctioning battery, this unit may very well not be able to do anything for you, obviously.] I fully charged the GB50, hooked it up to my battery terminals, turned the unit on-as soon as the GB50 came on, the colored lights started flashing left to right, red to green, and the little white light below it was lit steadily, meaning that it was reading my battery & I can try starting it---as soon as I went in & tried it, my vehicle started IMMEDIATELY without any problems or hesitation of any kind. Once started, you simply go turn off the GB50, disconnect the clamps, and you are all set! That 1 use right there has, in my opinion, paid me back the $150 I spent on it & then some. DEFINITELY worth the money. The ease, the portability, and the quality are all above & beyond my expectations. I have only 2 tiny "complaints" - The cable with the battery clamps is extremely short-it can come unplugged from the GB50 unit if you don't have the unit aligned straight with the cables...so just be mindful of that. I had the unit sitting at a slight angle to the battery clamps and so the cable unplugged partially from the unit. But, again, this is a tiny issue and certainly wouldn't stop me from recommending it. I am sure you can get longer ones as well. NOCO has a bunch of accessories but I wish they would have made them 3-4 inches longer. The only other "issue" is that the charging cable for this model is the 2-headed USB-C (both ends are USB C) that i mentioned above, yet the NOCO wall adapter head that they recommend for it is a USB-A female connector. So just keep that in mind when you buy this. I have nowhere to plug in a USB-C head for charging so I needed the wall adapter. As I said earlier, it charges perfectly using the USB-C to USB-A adapter pieces. Lastly, I will mention that the unit itself was almost fully charged when I received it, so it did not take long to complete a full charge. It claims you can do 20+ jumps without having to re-charge the unit but I have NOT tested that claim-I have only used it 2 times and they were on separate dates & the unit was also fully charged prior to using it each time. However, based on how it performed for me, I see no reason why that claim would not hold up. Bottom line, this is a GREAT unit and I highly recommend it to all who are interested.

Must have for emergencies!
Still works after a year! Of course the charge will go away if unused for several months, thats expected for any other electronic. Easy to use for grandmas, charging still works great. How much power it uses is also amazing, I let my mum borrow this and she used it about 10 times every time she had to go somewhere and it kept all bars of charge. Fits easily in my backpack in case I ever need to help a stranger, friend, or myself when I'm out delivering mail and packages.

An Absolute Must Have!
Talk about a life-saver! As a person who drives a pick up truck during cold, Michigan winters, this baby REALLY comes in handy when in a bind. Rather that paying $60-70 bucks to a tow company for a charge or trying to rely on the 'unreliable' kindness of strangers, this jump starter is just what the doctor ordered. It's small, durable, easy to use, and holds a bunch of starts on a single charge. Well worth the price!

Easy to use, started my 4.6L F150 with a drained battery without any issue.
My late model F-150 sat for a colder than normal couple of weeks over the holidays, and when I went to start it, the battery didn't have enough juice to fire it up. I had wanted a jump pack anyway so I read some reviews and ordered the GB50. It came with a USB cord and a car power adapter for that, but no AC plug... not a huge deal, just something to keep in mind. I read the manual and then plugged its USB cord into an old Samsung phone charger I had sitting around waited until the lights went from red to green... roughly 2 hours from one red light to full green. I tried to crank the truck again but the battery was almost completely gone, almost no response at all. I then connected the GB50, waited for a few a seconds, heard it click, and then tried to crank the truck. It fired right up, no problem. So far I'm pleased. Build quality seems good, and the unit is lightweight and compact for the power it provides. Having a light wasn't something I was really looking for but might be useful at some point, and being able to function as a power bank for a USB device might be useful as well. I like that this unit has some protection built in, both in that I don't have to hook my vehicle up to someone else's if they need a jump, and for cross wiring if the unit was plugged in wrong. Note that for a very dead battery, there's an override option to turn the safety features off and just provide power, which might be needed if your battery is totally dead and the unit can't sense it once connected. I have a fairly new battery so I didn't need it this time, but for a completely dead one it may be required. Hopefully I won't need it again any time soon, but if I notice any issues in the future I'll update my review.

One of the best jump starters. GB40 vs GB50 Comparison
CAR BATTERY DEAD? How often did you forget to turn off the interior lights? For how long did you not drive only to find out your car would not start? I lost count. My family, coworkers, strangers, and I all had that happen before, and when it did: - Was a jump start cable available? - Was anyone available to lend their car to power yours up with? - Did you know how to jump start a car? - Did you have a AAA membership, and did you have time to wait for a technician to arrive and help? My dad bought me a battery-operated jump start kit decades ago when I was in college. It was large and constantly lost its charge. Technology had changed since and small, powerful batteries now exist that can start a vehicle as large as a truck. MODEL GB40 PLUS (1,000 Amp) ---------------------- I had purchased a NOCO Genius Boost GB40 in 2016 for the sole purpose of having an emergency jump starter available for my SUV. Its feature set intrigued me: - Compact and portable at 2.4 lbs -- Does not need you to move your car so the battery could reach the other vehicle’s -- Just take out the NOCO, connect to your own battery, and start - Ability to jump start a 6L gasoline or 3L diesel engine -- My V6 engine SUV only uses 3.5L gas -- A Ford F150 truck with V8 goes as high as 5.0L - Up to 20 starts - Boost mode to send maximum charge to a completely dead battery -- 1,000 Amps — yes, really! -- This saved our butts many times — at least we were able to drive back home until we got our batteries replaced - Reverse-polarity protection to ensure you won’t short the battery if you connect the clamps wrong — FYI, red cable should always go to battery’s red or plus (+) terminal -- Having the clamps touch each other also does nothing. It’s quite fool-proof - microUSB re-chargeable in less than 3 hours - Battery to charge USB devices with - Built-in flashlight with SOS function - Battery maintains its charge for months MODEL GB50 XL (1,500 Amp) ------------------ I bought the 1,500 Amp NOCO Genius Boost XL GB50 model in 2019 to keep at home. - Can start a 7L gasoline or 4L diesel engine - Up to 30 starts - Battery recharges in 5 hours - Weight: 2.7 lbs, just 0.3 lbs heavier than the GB40 model USAGE Using the NOCO Boost is simple: - Ensure car is fully turned off, including all lights - Put car into Park and activate the hand brake - Pop open the car’s hood and wait 30 seconds - Plug the Boost’s red clamp to the car battery’s red or plus (+) connector -- Even if you plug it to the wrong one, the NOCO’s reverse-polarity protection will prevent your battery from getting short-circuited - Plug the black clamp to the car battery’s other connector - Turn on the Boost - Start the car and push down a bit on the gas to rev up the engine - If car starts, let it run for a few minutes -- Drive your car around for 30 minutes to charge up its battery a bit. It may simply need a few hours to fully recharge unless the battery is completely dead and requires a replacement Warning: Do not leave the car running inside your garage with the doors closed. You could get carbon monoxide poisoning and die! - If car did NOT start, wait 30 seconds -- Long-press on the NOCO’s Exclamation mark (!) button to activate maximum Boost mode -- You will see the light above the “12V 1000A” label turn on. This mode will send the maximum charge to the car battery -- Start the car and push down a bit on the gas to rev up the engine. It should work --- I had NOT come across a single car that could NOT be charged when the NOCO was set to its maximum boost The NOCO GB40’s small size once wowed a AAA driver when I showed him that it could start my mother-in-law’s completely dead battery. He showed me how large his one was. (That was not a dirty joke!) CONCLUSION This is one of the single, most important pieces of emergency gear I had purchased for myself and each family’s car — so you would not be stranded somewhere without a cell phone signal. Both models are very powerful, do not take up much space inside the vehicle, and are easy to use: my elderly mother-in-law remembered how to start her own vehicle after showing her just once! No more waiting for a tow truck/technician to arrive, and having been able to use the NOCO as a portable battery to charge my mobile devices with has been an added bonus.

Good quality fast delivery
Flabberghasted how much power my Noco 1500A provides. Besides being able to charge any battery, it also offers great LED-light when it's dark. Complete package and a must-have for every car-driver. Offers a comforting feeling having this in your back of your car while driving far away. You can even charge your Iphones. Much value for little money. Ps you even got a backup when current in your house isn't provided by the grid...Absolutely happy and remommendable.

Absolute Kaufempfehlung
Top Produkt.

Excellent
I have one of these and bought this for my son. They are great. The hold their charge really well and have saved me multiple times from being stranded. They are so easy to use and I use it on a van with a large battery. I originally bought a cheap one and it didn't even work once. Worth paying the extra and getting this brand. Highly recommend!!!

Supurb bit of kit
Prompt delivery as always with Amazon, the battery pack did exactly what it should do, I no longer have to charge up the battery on our 'spare' car one that only gets used once or twice a month and in the cold weather the battery looses its charge quickly so I used to have to plug it into a mains charger. Upon receipt of the NOCO Boost XL GB50 I plugged it into the USB port on a wall socket, charged it up. The next day the spare car wouldn't start low battery, 2 minutes later I was up and running its so easy to use the crocodile clips hook up to the battery terminals easily plug it in to the charging pack turn it on and happy days I was all ready to go. The handy bag makes it easy to store and keep all parts/leads all together. I've also have my motorcycle on permanent trickle charge as its not used too much in the winter went to start that the other day and after three or four attempts the battery didn't have enough power to start the bike so hooked it up to the NOCO Boost XL GB50 and hay presto loads of battery power and got me going!! Highly recommend the NOCO Boost XL GB50 excellent bit of kit and easy to carry in the boot its nice and compact.
