The method I found that works best for me is to use it on wet hair and scrunch it with a towel as if you were using the curly girl method with a styling gel. The result is light, fluffy clumps of waves. You can also use it on dry hair, and then it acts more like a sticky texture product that's meant for sculpting. You hair will feel a little sticky, like if you used too much dry shampoo, but it's still lightweight and easy to sculpt. The smell is nice, but in a nostalgic way. It reminds me of being a kid outside in summertime, covered in mosquito repellent, catching fireflies. It has an airy, misty scent that's hard to explain. Maybe it's not for everyone, but I found it pleasant.
