Planted them in containers. Plenty germinated but they were not stinging nettles. They were a miscellaneous green weed that looked nothing like nettles. They also (obviously) did not sting like nettles. I don't know if they tasted like nettles because I don't know if they were edible, but I'd wager they did not.

These did not grow into nettle seeds
