Review: No more eye strain or headaches - I work all hours of the day and night as a paramedic. Sometimes I am awake close to 24 hours straight due to running calls and typing reports. While these do not fix sleep deprivation, they have greatly helped with digital eye strain and headaches from computer screens and harsh white LED lighting. They also work during patient care as droplet eye protection and don't fog too badly when wearing a surgical mask. The yellow tint of the "amber" lenses is not overly noticeable. When wearing these, light is more warm and soft instead of cool and harsh. I have found myself wearing them even when not on a screen just for the nice effect of the blue light blocking. I have included a photo, but the camera isn't as accurate as I'd like. Gunnar's website states they have +0.2 magnification. The magnification isn't obvious to me, but I have noticed less eye strain. They also do not noticeably affect focus of objects at various distances. These glasses fit well, are lightweight, and are comfortable. I will probably upgrade to a more expensive pair from the same brand eventually solely for subjective styling. I love the lens quality, but the thick frames of this model are not my favorite style. There are a wide variety of styles from Gunnar here on desertcart and on the Gunnar's website, both more and less expensive. These glasses come with a cloth bag and no case, but some more premium models from Gunnar include cases. I have worn these for gaming also. They don't affect color too much, and they work as advertised. I HIGHY recommend Gunnar gaming glasses for first responders and others who work hours using computers in harsh and/or low light. Gunnar, maybe consider adding a first responder discount using ID dot ME and/or GovX. Not sponsored. (Please do, lol.)
Review: Reduce eye-strain and staring-at-computer headaches by at least 80% - About me: I wear soft contact lenses. I often spend more than ten hours at the computer in one day, and am prone to headaches. I am slightly prone to dry eyes. I got these glasses because I had frequent, severe eye strain-induced headaches. Sizing: I wear a woman's large hat. One-size-fits-all hats are invariably too small for me. These glasses fit me, but they'd be too tight if my head were any bigger. Smearing: Before I bought these, I read some reviews that said they smeared easily. I have found they smear exactly the same amount as my prescription glasses or sunglasses. Just have a cloth to wipe them off and maybe some spray, and you'll be fine. Case: These do not come with a hard case. I believe the company allows you to buy one, but I just bought a sunglasses case from TJ Maxx, which fits them perfectly. Quality: These are NOT cheap-feeling glasses. They are fairly sturdy, have a matte finish that doesn't get sweaty or sticky, and don't creak. I expect them to last for years. Functionality: When I wear these for long periods of time while using the computer, my headaches are reduced by at least 80%, especially those caused by eyestrain. Sometimes, I sit at my computer and forget to put them on until I realize I'm squinting (which I no idea I did!) and blinking to keep my eyes from drying out. Then I remember I have these, put them on, and -- immediately, I stop squinting and have less problems with dryness. They aren't magic -- staring at a screen for ten hours is never going to be good for you -- but they make an enormous difference. Price: I agonized over whether to get these because of the price. I figured I'd buy them and, if they didn't work, try to resell them. Well, they were worth the money, they really were. If I lost them, I would immediately buy another pair. Appearance: Yes, I do look dorky wearing them. You can't really see from the picture how silly they look. But the shape is clearly necessary for functionality, and you (and those around you) get used to it. Other uses: I've begun using these for watching television also, when my eyes are feeling bad. I find they help there, too.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do these glasses have power?**
A: These glasses actually do have a magnification of +.25. I actually took them to my eye doctor and they measured the power for me. To put this in perspective, many reading glasses are +1 magnification. +.25 is the smallest increment, incrementing at .5 .75 and 1. So, the magnification is quite small, it just helps things become a little clearer.

**Q: I need reading glasses.( X2 magnifiers ) Is this an option ? Or would i need to wear 2 different glasses at the same time ?**
A: 2 at the same time or go see an optometrist and have a pair made with this type of lens. These glasses are helpful but not by that much.

**Q: do they fit with headphones on?**
A: My son says they are very comfortable. No problem at all with headphones. I am definitely glad I bought them.

**Q: Can I use these over my prescription contacts?**
A: im sssssure thet are just as effective with prescription contacts as they are with my prescription glasses.they reduce the glare and help extend my game playing time.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good all day computer glasses, Reduce eye strain
*by A***T on May 30, 2026*

Gunnar gaming glasses work well for my office use, I am now using this for more then a month. Before to this glasses I have strained eyes and feel heavy in my head. used multiple eyedrops and anti reflection glasses but his one is really work great. I will suggest every one to use one of these if you are working in front of computer all day. I even use this glass after office while watching TV. Pro: -Stylish, light weight , help to reduce eye strain remarkably. I would give 5/5. Con: -it attract dust and dirt like a magnet, you end of cleaning it all time, I finally bought a lens cleaner. I don't face this issue with my Rayban. -There is no spring in the frame, it will give you strain in your ears. some time very annoying. its pain full after all day wearing this glass. for comfort 3/5. Frame is decent.
