I don't know why they are necessary after trying this. It just tastes like milk powder and is extremely drinkable. The cholesterol level and macros seem very good, and I have had an easier time mixing this than most other protein powders, so I don't have any objections so far. The price was great too. Edit: I've realized I got this during a time when the price was significantly reduced. I would probably dock one or two stars based on value for the money if I were buying this at the higher end of the range. Second Edit: The price for this product has since become absolutely insane and I would never buy this product again.
