They are a nice heavy duty fabric with well-sewn buttons and a brass zipper. Like most modern mens shorts, they are fairly long, and the bottom hem hits right on my knee cap. Living in a hot climate, my legs are often sweaty. When I crouch or squat, my knee caps pull on the hem of the pants and pull my shorts down. Not off, but awkwardly low on my hips. Eventually, the repeated stress causes the front of each leg to rip out making for ratty looking shorts.
