The Standard Pilot Log (Navy Blue): ASA-SP-57 (Standard Pilot Logbooks) Review: Perfect for Student Pilot - I wasn’t sure what logbook to get as I’m going for my helicopter licenses and ratings and most logbooks seemed to be orientated towards fixed wing but this one is actually perfect. There are columns for rotary wing entries and PIC time for when I solo. The only kind of bad thing to say is the remarks section is a little small so when you’re a student pilot like me and practice 5,6,7+ maneuvers in a day and have to log it all it gets a little cramped but just write a little smaller and you can still make it fit so not really much of a problem. There are blank pages in the front and back where you can put your endorsements and medical / student pilot certificates. My instructor didn’t love the wording of the endorsements already in the logbook so he gave me an actual paper endorsement to glue in there but that may vary per your instructor. It does have a nice leathery look to the cover and overall I’m pretty happy with it, will use it until I fill all the pages or need a new one to separate commercial logs. Review: Solid Logbook - Probably overkill for me, a private pilot that just flies his own aircraft but a good quality logbook with pages for numerous endorsements, flight reviews, etc.. it’s very similar to the Jeppeson that I’ve used for 45 years but it has more room (but not a ton) for remarks about each flight and I like this one better. It has room for 14 flights per page which is similar to Jeppeson and tons more than cheaper competitors with roughly 80 double wide pages for the various types of time to log (category, class, dual, instrument, day, night cross country, etc, etc.. I do like that the landings column includes a place to log night landings.

This Covers All the Flight Specifics I Need
I bought my first Pilot Log Book in 1990 as I was attending Army Rotary Wing Flight school. Nine years later I stopped flying in the Army and never thought I would need another log book because that one was not full. In 2019 I starting flying again professionally and eventually needed another log book and bought the same (updated) one. I use this to back up my electronic log book because I just don't trust only using an electronic one. Call me paranoid but having a hard copy saved my backside and I will always do both.

Perfect log for beginning my flying career!
I like how this was such a good deal and works out perfectly with what I needed in my new flying career. I needed a log for flight school and found this one and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to start flying and needs a basic log book.

This is nice quality log, but it doesn't work in CZ. No columns for exact time for take off and landing, only overall flight duration.
