These are the only cake boards I will use. I have been using them for many years and they never let me down. These are not grease proof. You can buy some that are here on Amazon. They have the silver looking lace on them. I have used those for special occasions and they work great. These cake boards are meant to be covered with foil or fondant or sugar sheets. I do all three depending on the cake I am making. I found these for a cheaper price than Walmart and these will get me through birthday season!!! I like having them around so I don't have to run somewhere for just a cake board. I use the large aluminum foil and fold it over the side and tape it to the bottom. That is what I was taught in the Wilton cake class I took many years ago. The cake will stick to the foil and not slide around. You can also get cake boxes to fit these boards. It is easier to transport that way and it looks so professional. I am happy to have saved the money on something I was going to buy anyway.

Perfect for large sized and unique shaped cake projects (i.e. long & wide oval shaped cakes, long rectangular cakes, or tiered heart shaped cakes, etc.). Cake board is nice and sturdy, so can handle a heavy cake. If you're using it for layered, therefore heavier cakes then just double boards up & put tape on the sides of board for a more heavy duty performance. I am happy with this product and I recommend it.

These do the job. I wish they were a little thicker and stronger. I use 3 boards taped together. Even then, when I carry the cake, I make sure to put one of my hands underneath right in the center so it doesn't cave in. I had a sheet cake on 3 layers of this cardboard one time, and it bent right in the middle and I almost lost the cake. Since then, I make sure to always hold it underneath in the center, and it has never happened again. Another note is that I cover them with white Wilton "Fanci-Foil" paper. This makes it look nicer, because if you don't cover your boards, you will see the brown corrugated cardboard exposed on the sides. Not so pretty if take the time to make a nice sheet cake. Don't even try foil or wax paper, if you cut the cake you will also cut the foil or wax paper and take it with the cake. The "Fanci-Foil" doesn't do that.

Worked great and got a great deal on Amazon. These are very big, bigger than I would normally need. But I knew I needed a big board for my son's birthday cake, I made several small cakes that looked like "Lego" bricks which all needed to be frosted (different colors) and then I used one for the finished product. These boards gave me a great surface for decorating cakes that was easy to move around, and kept my counters clean.

A bit pricey compared to others but did the job. If I’m in a pinch would buy again. Not a first resort due to price point.

I bought these for putting home made gingerbread houses on, and they weren't exactly lightweight ones either. The boards were perfect for what I needed them for, and even transporting said houses wasn't too stressful!
