They are very strong skewers. oh, yes, soaked in weather for 5-10 mins, it works very well on grill. We had BBQ party before and it hold all our kabobs well!

Can you put these in microwave?

Yes, 100% bamboo (wood) no metal.

Has anyone used these to bake polymer clay beads at 275 degrees without soaking?

I haven't, but I have used them on the grill at 350°+ with no issues. They did char without soaking, but they didn't burn.
