Honest Review of the Stainless Steel Tongue Scraper
I have used this now for a few Years and can give an Honest Review of this Stainless Steel Tongue Scraper. I have used a Lot of Tongue Scrapers over the Years and have come to the Opinion that this one is the Best one that I have Ever Used. All of the other Tongue Scrapers in the past that I've used were All Plastic. Some Stronger than others, but they All have Broken on Me. Some had too small of an area that they would Try to scrape and others were Too Thick for the Part that was supposed to Scrape Your Tongue. Then when I had gotten the Stainless Steel Tongue Scraper, it was Great on a Number of areas. Being that it's Stainless Steel, it was and is the Thinnest Material that has made Contact with My Tongue to Scrape it with. Being that it's Stainless Steel, it's Easy to Clean the stuff that You Scrape off of Your Tongue, off of the Scraper. The Stainless Steel Tongue Scraper has enough Reach to get to the Very Back of Your Tongue to Start Scraping from there and Still be Strong and Not Bend or Break like some in the past have done to Me. You can use light Pressure or Heavy Pressure while Scraping the stuff of Your Tongue. With using the Stainless Steel Tongue Scraper, it Helps with getting Rid of the Nastiness that forms on Your Tongue from the Foods You Eat as well as the Nastiness that forms on Your Tongue while You Sleep. With using the Stainless Steel Tongue Scraper, It Will Help With Controlling Your Bad Breath as well. Most People just Brush their Teeth ONLY and Never touch their Tongue and they have issues with Bad Breath. I Higghly Recommend Everyone to get One or More of these for themselves as well as for their Loved ones.

Works great!
So when I bought this, it was difficult to determine exactly what the edge would look like relative to other products. I was replacing a Dentek plastic scraper which broke after a few years and they discontnued it. All the newer Dentek and similar products favor a rounder softer edge. That is not a scraper, it should be called a massager something less effective at scraping. This product, however, has the "blade" for lack of a better term oriented so that you can have 2 scraping angles by flipping it over. It got my tongue cleaner than anything else I've tried. I was impressed and very pleased with this purchase. I just noticed my daughter had an Orabrush. She accidentally dropped it in the trash can and I told her to leave it there and I just ordered a steel Tongue Sweeper for her. The Orabrush had a rubber scrape blade paired with a patch of about 100 little pointy tips on the flat side. I guess the idea is that these little pointy things loosen up the tongue junk before the blade gets to it? Like the up-and-coming comic who introduces the headliner at The Improv? I tried one once and trashed it. I hope hers wasn't the same one. Ew. I'm sure mine ended up at the dump. That's where it belonged. The little pointy things looked like a well groomed sea anemone who likes to tickle tongue plaque. Don't get one of those. Get the Tongue Sweeper. I did not get the titanium Tongue Sweeper. I didn't think my tongue scraper needed to made of the same technology as the SR-71 spy plane. But now I'm curious....if the steel one was the best ever, could the titanium one be even better? If the Tongue Sweeper people want to send me one, I'll review it for them. I'll even expand the sample group. I'll try it on the dog as well. Her breath has been pretty smelly lately. So to summarize.... 1. The Tongue Sweeper rocks 2. Thank you Dentek for discontinuing the model I kept buying. I now have one that works better and will last longer. 3. Orabrush scrapers are funky. But try one out if you like to "be your own scraper" kind of guy. Kind of a beatnik-snowflake-scraper thing. 4. Titanium: Tongue Scraper peeps, I'll keep checking my mailbox for it. I promise a prompt and thorough review with 27 color glossy pictures with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining how they'll be used against us in a court of law. 5. I think this scraper could have use in the kitchen scraping out fruit like kiwis and such. Tongue Sweeper peeps (let's call them Sweeper Peeps), you heard it here first. You can keep the profit just send me one when you release it. I like cooking. 6. Sweeper Peeps, I had another idea. Contact the Swiss-Army or the Leatherman guys and have them add the Tongue Sweeper to it.

Invaluable
This was my first tongue scrapper, when it first arrived I tried it out immediately and expecting to scrape off a layer of tongue sludge, all I got was a little saliva. From that point onward I wrote the tongue scrapper off as useless, something for paranoid people. It wasn't till nearly a month later that I had a funny taste in my mouth. A taste that had been there for a couple days, it had given me bad breath as well. I tried rigorously brushing my tongue with a toothbrush, intensely rinsing with mouthwash and flossing with no success. Finally I remembered the tongue scrapper I had previously written off. With the first scrap I was grossed out at the thick and nasty horrid smelling substance that previously had occupied my tongue. The funny taste and my bad breath were immediately gone. After that experience I am a believer that this is a necessary tool for oral hygiene. The quality of the scrapper is excellent, its nice and smooth, no rough edges. I imagine this model to be better than the plastic ones solely for its shear strength, I usually apply a lot of force when scrapping for maximum tongue crud removal. Easy to clean, I just thoroughly rinse it after I'm done and its good to go. I have heard others say this model prevents gagging, as a person who it prone to gagging I can say that this product does in fact induce gagging. I can't say whether it does so less than other manufactures as this is my first tongue scrapper. Its not impossible to use though, I can get most of my tongue clean without gagging. Only the last quarter of my tongue is difficult to clean, I just have to be a big boy for a few minutes and gag while I clean my tongue. So what are you waiting for? This is an indispensable item for anyone who appreciates oral hygiene, WHICH SHOULD BE EVERYONE! Buy it, you won't regret it :)

Directions from seller Customer Service @ Biocurv Medical Instruments: - Just 3-4 sweeps across the surface of the tongue after each brushing then rinse. Explanation from seller Customer Service @ Biocurv Medical Instruments: - The edge creates a "squeegee" action that lifts the biofilm off the tongue. It is the biofilm that needs to be removed from the tongue to lower the bioburden in the mouth. - The Tongue Sweeper is made of medical grade stainless steel, about 6 inches in length and is not slippery. It comes with a silicone ring for identification which is available in six colors: blue, green, orange, pink, red and yellow. Other: - customer service email: The email is: [email protected] - to be used after brushing your teeth each time. Just 3-4 sweeps from the back to the front of the tongue and then rinse. - The ring is a colored silicone ring for identification. You may cut it off or just slide is off over the handle. ++++ Note: I just read that The American Dental Association says there is no evidence that tongue scrapers work to prevent halitosis (bad breath). ++++ Steps to using a tongue scraper from another website: Steps: 1) place the scraper at the back of the tongue while sticking your tongue out and, with even pressure, slide the scraper down along the tongue’s surface towards the tip. 2) rinse the scraper 3) repeat, making sure to move from the back of the tongue to the tip so as to not to accidentally ingest the bacteria being removed. 4) once the whole surface of the tongue has been scraped, thoroughly clean and dry the tongue scraper, and brush and floss your teeth as normal.

Me likey.
First off, I hope i keep this tongue cleaner as long as i can. I lost my previous tongue cleaner in a recent house move and had to deal with bad breath for a while. The reason was I couldnt find my previous favorite style (amazon carries it, its the pureline tongue cleaner) sold at my local super markets. I found my self on amazon reading the reviews of each tongue cleaner and took a chance with this stainless steel design. It was helpful lookin at the pictures provided by the reviewer "joe". So much thanks to him for uploading. I took a chance even though it was a bit pricey compared to the plastic design i was used to before, but I am glad i did. It wont lose its edge with time like my previous one and i wont have to worry about cleaning it or tapping it on the side of the sink. The edge is prefect for my liking and doesnt hurt or feel rough. The metal thickness doesnt feel too thin or thick and isnt super heavy or light. I did not gag. I was able to focus on areas in my tongue instead of the jumbo plastic design and it certainly does not bend like other rubber plastic cleaners. I think if you want a long lasting durable cleaner you should give this a chance. I like this tongue cleaner a lot and wont lose it.

Life-changing! Worth every "do I really need it?" penny!
I cannot believe I am reviewing a tongue scraper... Seriously, a tongue scraper - who does that? Well, I guess me now. Because this thing is the greatest achievement in tongue-scraping technology the world has ever known. I joined the "scrape after brushing" brigade a few years ago to combat the lingering presence of coffee that seemed to be as committed to bonding to my tongue as the Venom symbiote was to Tom Hardy in last year's Oscar-snubbed masterpiece. Unfortunately, about a dozen plastic and bamboo scrapers over the years never quite got the job done - they always left a little coffee behind and/or made my tongue redder than the blood of my enemies. Plus they got dull and wore down over time. In steps the Tongue Sweeper (*cue harps and choir*). This thing is a game changer; it's ridiculously smooth and gentle on the tongue, cleans effortlessly with a quick rinse, and will last for all of eternity - to be fought over as a family heirloom by my great great grandchildren long after society has collapsed.

Best on the market!
Bought my first Tongue Sweeper in 2010 and I still have it! Bought the second one for my husband, who kept breaking the plastic ones. Tongue scraping has several health benefits including vagus nerve stimulation. This one is the best.

Excelente produto!
Recomendo a compra! Apesar do valor mais alto, é um produto melhor acabado e que não dá ânsia de vômito, além de durar para toda a vida - claro que, se bem cuidado e armazenado.

Excellent
I was surprised how well this cleans the tongue. To be fair, I haven't used another tongue cleaner before, but this one I bought seems to do the trick quite well, day in, day out. A bit expensive, but an excellent tool. Highly recommended!

Muito fácil de usar!
Concordo que é um produto caro. Porém pra mim vale muito a pena porque o formato não machuca nada a língua e pra mim me dá menos ânsia de vômito do que outros modelos. Muito fácil de limpar!
