Works and readable at a glance
I have two of these in separate vivariums in the same room. I've had one for the better part of a year and have had the other about 4 months. They have been working fine for me. I love the color coding that makes them easy to read and interpret. I don't feel the need to chase humidity down to the single percent, but rather follow trends and correct conditions as needed. While there may be times when the needle doesn't seem to move much, when the house become dry in the winter and supplemental humidity is needed, these little hygrometers help me keep viv humidity in the right range. If you need to move these they can be moved. I used a razor blade to remove, removed all the backing and then hot glued in the new position. While the included tape is relatively safe in a viv, with snakes fully cured aquarium safe silicone or hot glue is even safer. Just be careful to use small amounts of glue on the four raised pads. If you block airflow it will not work right. What's not to like about useful, inexpensive and easy? Love these.

Cheap, and delivered fast
I ordered the hygrometer but when I brought it home and opened it and stuck it on my iguana cage, and I realized it was a thermometer not the hygrometer. I know I should have looked at the package better, my bad. But I needed a thermometer anyways.

Affordable & Accurate
I purchased this a king with several other meters, some with temp included and some digital. Used the above do 75% RH test. After 36 hours it sat at 73% which is accurate within 2%. Compared it to serval others that I calibrated with the salt test so I know it is accurate. Despite what tons of these reviews say what I learned is the large majority of any of these hygrometers and temp scales will be within 5 degrees accuracy which unless your in a lab or something crazy will work just fine for almost all applications. I wouldn’t get to hung up on what model or type, just so long as you test it and it is fairly accurate. I wanted this guy because it was super cheap, came with adhesive and gives/has a color background that I can see the humidity level on whether or not visibility is good or not inside enclosure.

Inaccurate to the point of uselessness
I have a rainforest terrarium. If the humidity gets too low, the life inside suffers. I have digital hygrometers, but they do not tolerate prolonged exposure to high humidity. I wanted an inexpensive analog hygrometer for permanent residence in the terrarium. This was inexpensive. It has one job though (measure humidity) and it fails badly. It is responsive to changes in humidity, somewhat, but the readings are so wildly inaccurate, especially at extremes, that it is useless for my purposes. At ambient summer humidity (currently about 75%) it reads 60%. In the terrarium (100%) it reads 75%. 15-25% off is a shameful degree of inaccuracy. It is not adjustable, so either I make the adjustments mentally and trust the terrarium life to a woefully inaccurate device, or I continue my search for a competent analog hygrometer. If it is convenient for me to return this I will. Otherwise it will go in the trash. I’m disappointed with this device in particular and this brand in general.

Small dial, needle got stuck
I don't have a reptile aquarium, I just want to monitor the humidity around my house. This works okay as far as measuring the humidity, but the dial is so small it is difficult to read. You can get an approximation from the color on the dial. Has two sided tape mount. It's been over 1 year with this thing. I have re-calibrated it and it works accurately except that now the needle sticks on 60% and won't move unless I tap on it. Then it works okay until the humidity reaches 60% then it gets stuck again.

An Inexpesive Hygrometer for Practical Purposes
I am using three of these small (4 centimetres in diameter), inexpensive hygrometers to measure humidity in closets. I have checked their accuracy with a more expensive hygrometer, and they seem to be registering reasonable values. The scale of relative humidity between 0 and 100 per cent is marked in 1 per cent intervals, which are quite small, but it is relatively easy to read by 5 and 10 per cent intervals. The scale is also colored from red (dry) through orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet (moist), to make the scale easier to read. The hygrometer comes with a 2-centimetre dot of material that is sticky on both sides, so that the instrument can easily be attached to any surface and easily removed. This instrument is not at the standard of a meteorological instrument, but for practical purposes that do not require digital precision, it can be useful, at much less cost and size than those other instruments.

Ideal for use in Mason jars
These seem spot on. I am curing plant material in Mason jars, and am using a 62% Boveda pack. I got 4 of these and all 4 are dead on at 62%. The great part is that they fit right inside the jar, and because I am using them in clear jars, these small guys fit right inside, and I can monitor the humidity without opening the jars. They come with a round foam sticker to stick on the back of the unit, but if you pop out the little circle in the middle, you can use that piece of the two sided sticker to attach it to the inside of the glass facing out. They work perfectly for my intended purpose.
