Value for money, these are the best single pair monitors you can currently get for this price. A step down in price tier the only other option is indeed the Edifier 1280T or BT. The difference is Bluetooth. First and foremost, the hissing. It is non-existent for me and I’ve used two Focusrite 2i2 3rd Gen’s as interfaces on this and maxed out the gain just to test it. I’ve returned one of my Kali Monitors, as it was cosmetically damaged in transit, for a replacement and neither the NEW or OLD one had any sign of hiss during idle or during activity. Sound quality they are amazing. That’s it. You can compare they frequency response on YouTube channels and Reddit threads if you want to get into the nitty gritty but as someone who’s been in many studios they work well for how much they cost. Whether you’re listening to music or mixing I can’t deny their flexibility. Bonus Tyler The Creator - CORSO, Frank Ocean - Self Control and Sabrina Claudio - Stand Still all slaps on these monitors; and two of which will bring you to tears and make you miss whoever you miss. The speakers are easy to set-up, don’t cheap out on your cables, and the manual that is both in paper and online explains the best speaker orientation as well as EQ settings if you can only fit your monitors in a particular configuration in your room. I recommend placing them on Gravity Stands with Foam Isolators for the best sound and stability; I originally tried to place them on invisible wall mounts but they weren’t strong enough and there aren’t any that fit the dimensions of the speaker on its longest axis unless you make your own. If I had one gripe I do wish they came with a remote for volume control or pausing but it’s fine as my focusrite works knob well.

Excellent monitors , don’t think you will find a better monitor for the same price. Have been using now for a fair amount of time and they have been excellent. Plenty of connections and settings for different types of installations. All in all very good.

These monitors, despite their price, are certainly up there with some higher end monitors from brands such as Yamaha, mackie and dynaudio. Even surpassing some of them in sound quality. The quality and versatility of these monitors is simply unmatched at this price range and I hugely recommend them for both beginner musicians, professionals audio listeners/ engineers etc. And even people who just want a great sounding pair of speakers to listen to music on. You will not be disappointed. Of course it down have it’s flaws though. Like how the monitors can sometimes switch to low power mode ( blue light to orange) randomly whilst listening to music. There are guides to turn this feature off however, so it’s an easy fix. I can’t really find anything else wrong with these speakers and seriously suggest these monitors. They’re amazing!!

Upgraded my monitors to these from some presonus 3.5s. Massive difference and the price is ridiculous Considering what you get. Also look the part in my studio.

These speakers are fantatic. For the price of them the quality is amazing with great adjustability however - the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due to an issue where the speakers will go to sleep even when they are being fed audio. I know you can turn the sleep mode off by opening the back of them but they shouldn't be doing this with audio playing. I have 2 speakers from 2 different places and it does this on both of them. They will randomly go into sleep for about 5 seconds and then turn back on. Other than that they are great and a good upgrade for people looking for some clean sounding monitors.

As mentioned in many reviews, I experienced the constant background hiss with these speakers. Coming from my completely silent KRK rokit speakers, this was a concern. However, the clarity and transparency knocks the KRKs out of the park. The detail and soundstage is great for such budget speakers and they are not fatiguing in long mixing sessions. So, despite the hiss (which you get used to very quickly) I am still rating these 5 out of 5

You have to be in this price range before you’re happy with such equipment... I haven’t driven this thing hard yet, but as this is designed for use by two or three people within three metres I shouldn’t have to. No noticeable noise; if you’re having problems, it’s almost certainly your cables (especially if you’re using long runs of RCA). Highly recommended.

TLDR Great for the price. A bit noisy at idle but not anymore than a desktop PC and doesnt scale with input volume. Width: 8.75in Height: ~14in Depth: 10.5in decent bass but looses a bit in the sub since it's a 6.5in driver but that can be adjusted with back panel. Edit: (2 year update) Monitors still sound great nothing complain about there but the vinyl wrap has started to come up on a few of the corners, while its not drastic it is worth noting. These monitors sound fantastic! They sound so good that I often check my mix on headphones because Im not used to my music just sounding good all the time.For only $300 a pair they are worth every dime. The base has a depth of 10.5in and a width of 8.75in The main driver is 6.5 inches giving you a rich bass response but its not going to rock your chair like a car sub. The high end is crisp with no noticable distortion even pushing 95spl. My favorite thing about these monitors though is how wide the listening area is. You can rock you head back and forth, scoot around in your chair, and these things still sound just about the same. One con I have noticed is they are a bit noisy even while idle. There is a constant white noise coming through both the main driver and tweeter that doesnt seem to scale with the volume of the speakers. If you push the volume up to a normal level it is completely drowned out and shouldnt have an effect on your mixing. I personally found no need to adjust the eq on the back of the speaker despite mine being relatively close to the walls. Adjust either the 1 or 2 setting meant I either lost too much sub or didnt have enough. Keep in mind you will need an audio interface and proper cabling to connect them to your PC as the only things in the box are the speaker, a power cable and some manuals. In closing. If you are coming from headphones or budget speakers these things are a whole other world. You won't be disappointed!

Schöner neutraler Klang zum Mischen im Home Recording. Zu den wenigen Stellungnahmen mit bissigen Höhen kann ich nichts sagen (bin über 40 ;-)). Lässt sich auch ohne großen Abstand zur Wand betreiben und gibt aber auch so Musik am Rechner oder Keyboard usw. im Nahfeld meiner Meinung nach klasse wieder.

I am surprised at the built quality. They are very boomy for the size so not very flat. So great for jamming with drum machines and synths. I would not mix in them

Estos monitores suenan perfecto, muy bien balanceado y son muy conocidos en Estados Unidos, si sigues varios estudios y ves fotos, muchos tienen un par de estos (a parte de otros más caros). Increíble sonido y a un precio de risa. Llevo ya casi 2 meses con ellos y muy contento.
