Q: I noticed in one part of this listing it says its carrageenan free, but it has it listed under ingredients. So is it carrageenan free?

The Company removed the ingredient Carrageenan so I suppose is free. After the elimination of this ingredient which I was happy, I don't like the look, smell and consistency of the food . I have been feeding my cats this food for the last 5 years, and they have loved it and been healthy. Now that the label has changed and the formula did as well my cats have both been vomiting and had diarrhea. I soon noticed a rancid, rotten smell coming from my kitchen after feeding them. I don't buy this food anymore.

I suggest googling the question and read all of the conflicting anwers. My cat has hyperthyroidism and I give him Various Wellness wet varieties. His level has come down from 17 to 6 and working to get it lower with a doctor recommended higher dose of Methimazole. So much stuff about pet health is in gray areas and most vets are full of shit. This forum for getting consumer knowledge of the product is BS also. Read all of the stuff on line and talk to a "good" vet. Also be carefu which supplier provdes the cat food My last shipment was delivered and all of the cans were dented. Something happened not is spment but perhaps in the preperation since the package ws fine. Amazon did refund fo the purchase.
