It says free size on the hand tag but because of the comfortable elastic and drawstring it is suitable for anyone ranging from a UK size 8 to 14/16. There is enough room in the hips area as well,as sometimes the waist is generous but the skirt struggles at the hip. I love how it looks on and it is very comfortable to wear.I am 5' 3 and a half'' and the length is perfect for me, it is a couple of inches above my ankles so I will not need to shorten it. Beautiful embroidery on cool, lightweight cotton; the dyes on this sort of material usually run for a few washes, so dark wash. Good length (I'm 5ft4ins and it reaches my ankles) doesn't drag on the ground and swirls nicely. Only drawback is the waist elastic which is far too tight. It is a one size fits all, and will stretch as advertised but unless you're a size 10, it feels constricting; painfully so if your waist is over 32 inches. But I love the rest of it so I'll make the effort to alter the 2 elastic layers, rather than send it back.
