And then comes the toasty aroma--it makes for a perfect morning. Percolators have come back to home kitchens, and the Presto 12-cup stainless steel coffee maker is a prime example. Its elegant, hotel-style design brings a touch of luxury to what is for many a daily pleasure. This coffee maker brews up to twelve cups of coffee at a cup-a-minute rate, which it then keeps at a constant, piping-hot serving temperature. An indicator light in the base announces when the coffee is ready. The inner fixtures--the filter basket and perk tube--are also made of stainless steel, rather than the more common (and less durable) aluminum. The power cord is removable to make storage simple. Before cleaning the coffee maker, unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely. Wash the coffee maker with warm, sudsy water and dry it thoroughly; it is not immersible. To preserve the gloss of the stainless steel, do not use steel wool or harsh, abrasive cleansers. The perk spout and filter basket can be cleaned with a brush or pipe cleaner. If necessary, coffee stain remover can be used periodically on the interior surface. The coffee maker measures 10 by 5 by 13 inches (including handle, lid, and spout). Presto guarantees this product with a one-year limited warranty. A simple instruction sheet is enclosed. --Garland Withers Product Description Indulge in the bold, rich flavor of freshly brewed coffee with the Presto® Stainless Steel Coffee Maker. Not exactly sure how it heats water better (more efficiently, more quickly?) but just clarifying info based on Presto representative reported information." While metals do conduct electricity some metals do it better i.e. faster. Aluminum conducts electricity faster so it is considered a "Good conductor" of electricity like copper. Stainless steel conducts electricity very slow so it's considered a "Poor conductor" of electricity. It's the reason stainless steel pots & pans have either aluminum or copper in the bottom base. Stainless Steel starts conducting well at extremely high temperatures of 800F degrees plus, which would make burnt coffee. it is unfortunate that the base is not layered inside with copper like a stainless steel pan as an option. I believe many people would wait another 5 minutes to get coffee from a truly all stainless steel interior percolator. **Q: What is the appropriate grind for this coffee maker?** A: what's a good brand of coffee for the presto 02811 my coffee taste as good as it does when i make it in the glass coffee maker **Q: Do regular #4 basket paper filters fit, or some other size? (Thanks one and all for your replies.)** A: I found this to be the best method for filtration and eliminating grounds in the pot. 1) Use 12 cup basket filters. 2) Wet the inside bottom of the basket and run water through the percolator stem. 3) Center paper filter over basket stem and punch wet percolator stem down through filter and hole in basket stem. 4) Push filter to bottom of wet basket to adhere. 5) Drizzle water from tap along sides of paper filter/basket and press ruffled paper to flatten against the wet sides of basket. 6) Add desired amount of coffee and start brewing. I've never had a problem with grounds in my coffee since... enjoy! **Q: At what temp. does the coffeemaker maintain the water?** A: I measured mine with a thermometer. Right after the "on" light comes on, the brew is a very hot 195 degrees F. ## Frequently Bought Together - Presto 02811 Stainless Steel Electric Coffee Percolator - 12-Cups, Easy-Pour Spout, Stay-Cool Handle, Make 2-12 Cups - 300 Count Percolator Coffee Filters, 3.75 Inch Natural Unbleached Disposable Coffee Filter Disc Coffee Filters for Percolators Camping Coffee Pot Home Office Use - Melitta White Wrap Around Coffee Filter for Percolator (Pack of 2) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/1139346-02811-stainless-steel-12-cup-electric-coffee-percolator](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/1139346-02811-stainless-steel-12-cup-electric-coffee-percolator) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-31*
