I measured for a large and it fits perfectly.Great looking helmet. Probably not the sturdiest helmet out there, but way better than my current non dot helmet. Doesn’t look overly large for its size either. Outside shell is proportional.Overall it’s a nice helmet for a decent price.***Update*** So I need to change my review after wearing this for the past couple days. I had gotten stung by a bee near the corner of my eye the day before I got this helmet, so I thought that was affecting my vision, but it's the shield. I saw it on another review, and didn't realize it until wearing it around more. Optically the shield is not correct, and is really hard to see out of at night. As others described, it’s like trying to look through a glass of water. Love the look and feel of the helmet, but I obviously need to pony up a few more bucks and buy the competitors helmet. Looks come second to function.As a side note, the seller was great when I messaged them about my issue, and even sent me a second shield to try. Unfortunately, the outcome was the same. They said they would speak with the manufacturer about it. This helmet gives the look and feel of much more expensive helmets and pulls it off Extremely Well!! Comes with a clear shield- spent an extra 30$ on the iridium shield and I love it! The padding is nice, a little firm but nice. Snug for me- I wear a small- ordered a small- I know once the helmet breaks in it will be perfect. Also, the amount of outside noise that is cancelled out is REALLY surprising! I thought it would be loud with lots of wind noise- not at all! Quite the opposite in fact. And the vents are great and provide really good amounts of air flow when you are riding! A Bluetooth headset or ear buts make this thing perfect!!Best helmet on the market at this price point!!! The helmet is definitely a way cheaper version (by 300 dollars) of Simpson helmets. I bought it understanding that it is mainly for looks and not safety or functionality.What I mean is that, while it says it is DOT approved it certainly feels as if it was a novelty helmet. It is very light and comfortable.My $80.00 half helmet DOT seems built better and of tougher material than this one. I have another helmet from a good brand that I scored for $120.00 and the material feels way of better quality than this one.In all, for the price, this helmet is bad@ss looking and I’m sure on low impact crash will provide some protection, much better than a skully helmet would. But if you tend to do freeway riding I wouldn’t count on this to protect you on a high impact accident.4 Stars cause the helmet is as described and definitely will get you compliments as I already had people comment they like it and I haven’t even been riding that much.Side note:GoPro mounted nice.I also added the tinted visor as shown, no issues installing. Make sure it is nice and tight so it works as intended. I’m sure it will require adjustments as it gets used over time.One of the screws holding visor was a bit rusty already, got new ones at the hardware store that I liked.
