Excellent product for dogs with itching skin, yeast, or hot spots. Scent is pleasant and mild, lather is top notch and it truly helps. Good ingredients and my vet approves.

I got this shampoo for my dog that has terrible skin issues. He is a 10 year old lab mix that was on Apoquel for a couple of years. It worked wonders in the beginning, but as time went on, the injections weren't as effective. Instead of lasting a whole month, he started to itch after a few days. That's when I started my desperate search to find an alternative. Systematically, I did what I could to pin point what he was allergic to and how to remedy it. I tried various dog food, and when that didn't help, I began making all his meals from scratch. I stuck with it for 2 months, but still no improvement. I have tried at least 10 dog and human shampoos until I found this product. I was especially interested in it because two of the active ingredients are antibacterial and antifungal. He has secondary infections because of all the scratching. As soon as I applied the shampoo to his horribly irritated stomach, his skin color instantly turned from red back to normal color. I didn't want to get my hopes up and honestly thought that it was in my head. The shampoo has other great qualities such as the smell and ease of lathering. Those things are great, but really not that important. I'm looking for real relief for my dog. After the bath: very occasional scratching for the first 24 hours. So far, nothing remarkable when compared to several other shampoos I've used. 48 hours post bath: Scratching frequency increased, but not to the point that he's waking me up at night. Side note: my goal is for HIS relief, not me searching for something to keep him quiet so that I can sleep through the night. 72 hours post bath: Again, scratching frequency increased and has started to wake me up at night 5 days post bath: Time for another bath. I throw in the flag when I hear him whine when he scratches. This shampoo works better than any other that I've tried at relieving my dog's chronic itchy skin. It is not a cure all. For that, the underlying issue of WHAT is causing the itch would need to be determined. While I continue to answer that question, I will be using this product on a weekly basis

I have five senior dogs of my own plus a rotating foster or two—this medicated shampoo is the only shampoo I use, for my dogs with or without skin and coat issues, even and especially for my babes with sensitive skin. It’s not too drying, and does wonders to curb their itching, reduce redness and irritation, and take care of hot spots. The added bonus is that it smells great, so much so that others have noticed and asked what shampoo I use!

my dog was suffering miserably with skin issues- itchiness, loss of coat, skin bacteria. I bathed her twice a week with this and also used the companion spray product. Within a month, her problems went away, her coat began to grow back. I can tell she is a happy dog again. Easy application, really sudsy and smells like bubbkegum.

It works really, really, really well. It takes some baths, just like the stuff from the vets office. Every 3 days for 2 weeks. It works better than the tiny $40 prescription bottle from the vets office honestly. Just know, it STANKS. Our mini-ratzer is covered in bumps that scab over. They disappeared with this shampoo. No antibiotics needed this time. I highly recommend a wash mitt or scrub mitt to go with especially if you have a dog with a lot of hair.
