Got this for my ct who has a large hot spot on her neck. It smells wonderful, and works great. The only suggestion I could make is to ship with an alternative bubble squeeze syringe because my cat did not like being sprayed. I ended up spraying a gauze pad first then rubbing it on her neck.

It does help a great deal with the itching. I have 4 dogs, 3 small and 1 large who I suspect has mange. The skin scraping came up negative but I still think that is what we are dealing with. This product didn't make it go away but did aid in the itching. I give 4 stars because it didn't go away after a month and half of use and also it is costly for the size of the bottle and I could not afford to keep using it for that reason.

I have a 14 year old Pug that, overall, is in very good shape healthwise. Unfortunately, he recently developed some intestinal issues which caused him to have chronic diarrhea. Due to that condition the area around his butt and up the back of his tail became red and irritated. He was having trouble squating to defecate and when we were in the house and feeding him a treat he would not sit (an automatic response to a treat) completely and was obviously in some discomfort. We treated the diarrhea first and luckily it was nothing serious, we just needed a supplement or two to help with digestion and to firm up his stool. After that was taken care of, we bought EcoSpot to hopefully relieve the redness and irritation around his bottom and tail. After the first week of using it I noticed some improvement and now, after the second wek of using it, the redness is almost completely gone and he is back to being able to sit down comfortably in the house. I am very satisfied with EcoSpot and I'm sure that my dog is too. It's funny because he usually hates being sprayed with any liquid but with EcoSpot he would stand perfectly still as if he was thinking,"oooh yes that feels so much better." We adopted a 3 year old pit bull/ lab mix from our shelter; she came with red eyes and itchy skin. We are sorting out whether her allergy/intolerance symptoms are from food or environment (indoor or outdoor). She doesn’t have hot spots, chew her feet or scratch her ears a lot, but the skin on her chest and belly and inside her thighs gets red and moist at times with red bumps, usually in the morning or late evening. She licks a lot and scratches her elbows and armpits. Anyway, I purchased the EcoSpot because of the ingredients to calm the redness and itchiness. I can’t say I noticed a difference, and I don’t care for the strong peppermint smell. Not sure what topical peppermint does, either. I don’t feel like I can give a good review because she does not have “hot spots:”

I approached this product with extreme skepticism because of the expense and the mix of negative and positive reviews. I bought it originally for a hot spot on my dog. This dried up and healed within a few days. He stopped biting at it and I thought this might be the reason it worked Used it next on a nasty open sore behind the ear on one of my barn cats. This had been present for about a month and was spreading He could not reach it and it did not seem to itch. He tolerated the spray well so it seemed painless. Again this sore dried up within a few days and the scab is about to drop off. This product is recommended for dogs and cats but I tried it on irritated insect bites on my horse. Again it has worked really well and she stopped rubbing her head and the sores have healed. Just treated a barn kitten for ear mites but it is too early to know if it works. I think this needs to be part of my animal first aid kit so I am ordering another bottle!

We have been trying to stop our stubborn Jack Russell, Maggie, from licking a very nasty hot spot on her leg for over a year. From OTC meds to prescriptions to steroids to wrapping it with gauze and tape (which she chewed off) to the “cone of shame”, nothing worked. Our next step was very expensive laser light therapy and our vet warned us that if things didn’t get better, it could lead to amputation but she would do everything possible to make sure that didn’t happen. I have an older dog who was sending me to the vet wayyyy too often for my pocket book, this product is fantastic, as soon as I see an irritation (mainly have been dealing with hot spots) I can spray this on and nip it in the bud ! may seem pricey but well worth it to have on hand !
