Excellent addition to home grill setup!
I love this grill basket. I had previously bought one of those clamshell baskets with a handle, but veggies would fall out and it wasn’t the right tool. This basket is nice and big! It takes up about half of my 4-burner Weber. It makes it very convenient to grill cubed veggies for a gathering! There are no slots for food to slip through. I had no problems with sticking (but I did toss veggies in olive oil first). And it cleaned up nicely in the dishwasher. The steel gauge feels just right for being sturdy but not a heat sink.

Excellent quality
Excellent quality and I was lucky to read a previous reviewer's advice on prep so that food doesn't stick and it will wash easily. He said (which I followed and everything came off easily): - generously oil the food - oil the pan/basket - pre-heat the pan/basket on the grill first before adding food for approx 5-10 min - add your food and turn occasionally (I did this every 5 min) I had no issues with clean-up. All the other pans on amazon are smaller. One caution I noticed. The machined slots are sharp, IMO. Also note I prefer to buy "other" brands rather than a name brand but after buying another set and then reading the reviews again, this one is perfect and the price is great. Also, (sorry, one more thing), originally I was going to buy non-stick. I asked chatgpt and was convinced that stainless, w/o the coating, is the best choice. Coatings eventually come off and there's no need in this case. Hope this is helpful.

Perfect for grilling veggies and fruit
This Weber grill pan is a generous size and perfect for grilling vegetables, fruit or any small pieces of food that would fall between the grill grates. The slotted openings let in the maximum amount of smoke and heat while keeping the food in the pan. It's made of stainless steel. The one problem is that hot oils such as olive or safflower oil burns easily in the grill's high temperatures that I like to use for grilling and this pan is very difficult to clean. Bar Keepers Friend cleanser is about the only thing I've found that does a decent job of cleaning it and even with that, it takes a great deal of time and elbow grease to get the burned areas completely clean. I finally decided to leave those areas as they are, just cleaning off any actual debris that come off with a normal amount of gentle scrubbing. Hopefully this will eventually result in a "seasoned" grill pan that will be more stick-free. At any rate, I like this pan and will continue to use it almost every time we grill.

Simple is best!
After looking through countless websites and grilling catalogs looking of a basket to use for grilling smaller items, I finally found this item and immediately ordered it. It has everything that's necessary for function, and none of the "features" that, while appealing on the surface, end up being useless in practice. In my case, I generally grill for my wife and I and our young child. This basket is the perfect size for that. It can comfortably fit a whole sweet onion cut into rings and split apart, over half a head of broccoli, or a few peppers sliced up. In other words, a good quantity of vegetables for two and a half people. Weber does make a larger version if you're grilling for more. For my uses, this basket is far better than anything else I've ever tried. Compared to the following: Mesh Baskets - Mesh is nice, but very hard to clean. Even stainless steel mesh baskets get food caught in the mesh and require a decent amount of scrubbing to get all the food particles off. Non-Stick Grill Pan - these seem like a great idea on principal, but I don't own any grill implements that are safe for use on non-stick surfaces. My tongs aren't rubber coated (nor do I want them to be). This means I have to bring kitchen implements out to the grill. In my case, these have shorter handles and resulted in lots of singed knuckles, not to mention doubling the number of utensils needing cleaning. Pans with Attached Handles - attached handles make it easy to flip food using your wrist, much like one does with a nice saute pan. Except on a grill, these handles are metal (for obvious reasons) and are therefore, well over 400 degrees. Not to mention they usually are too short to be overly useful and still get in the way and take up valuable grill space. Not good. Detachable Handles - in an effort to fix the above issues, manufacturers attempted to make pans with removable handles. Great idea, but I've yet to see one executed properly. Generally they remove by lifting up on the end of the handle -- the same motion that you'd use to flip food in a pan. They are usually finicky to engage and after dropping the basket and the food on the ground once, you drop the handle and grill pan in the trash can. Expensive habit. All of these experiences make me simply love the simple Weber pan. No handle to get in the way, but a couple little curved pieces which make it easy to lift. Stainless steel so no worries about metal utensils. Easy to clean (you can throw it in the dishwasher). Overall, simple really is better. To those who have given this bad reviews due to the fact that it never truly gets shiny clean again, who cares? It's a grill pan. Is your grill meticulously cleaned after every use? Personally, I just preheat the grill and then brush off the charred particles. I actually do the same with this pan and just leave it in the grill... And frankly, the discoloration is seasoning the pan making this guy pretty much non-stick.

Only way to grill vegatables!
Very suitable material thickness at 0.039" (19 ga. or 20 ga.). Material is magnetic all around so stainless steel is likely grade 430 stainless. I have had good luck oiling it with refined avacado oil (not virgin), which has a high smoke point. This is the only way to grill vegatables!

Must have for every grill master
I had the smaller version of this basket which I have been using for few years and I liked it so much that I decided to purchase the larger version of Weber Deluxe Grilling Basket for entertaining. It has quickly become an indispensable part of my grilling arsenal. This professional-grade grill basket is one of the most impressive I’ve come across. The high quality and solid build of this basket is immediately noticeable. Made from thick stainless steel, it’s designed to withstand the rigors of regular use. Despite its heavy-duty construction, it feels lightweight, making it easy to handle. It has a generous size and features nice handles on both sides. The basket features small slots and offers a large surface area to accommodate larger items or quantities. The low walls ensure that veggies get a nice char, resulting in soft veggies with the good number of char marks. Maintaining stainless steel can be tricky as it can easily discolor with high heat and chemical reaction with food. Though it is not completely avoidable, with a few simple steps, you can keep this pan in top shape use after use. Preheat the pan before putting any food and lightly coat with oil to prevent sticking. After use, clean it using a cleaner like Lagostina powder or Bar Keepers. Other options are soaking it in cleaning solution or vinegar followed by scrubbing. Oven self-cleaning cycle also works. In conclusion, the Weber Deluxe Grilling Basket is a high-quality, versatile, and reliable tool that offers excellent value for money. Whether you’re a professional chef or a backyard griller, this Basket is a fantastic investment.
