My favorite green tea
This is the smoothest green tea I've ever tasted. Besides that, I like this tea because this is the only looseleaf tea I know of that's really easy to clean because you don't need any extra tools to brew it and you can put the leaves directly in the cup to brew. The leaves are large and edible so, although I leave most of them at the bottom of the cup, it certainly feels normal (it's not a startling flavor) to eat an occasional leaf. It also feels really sophisticated to have it in a glass cup. If you brew it like I do, I usually brew it for a lot longer than the pack says- until the majority of the leaves float to the bottom of the cup. As for the value of the product- the money spent is well worth it, because you get far less stems than the cheaper teas of this kind.

Summer's Beverage
This Dragon Well brews a light bodied, pale yellow liquor. The trademark "asparagus" fragrance is present, as is the vegetal flavor. It has a slightly sweet and citric finish; lovely. The leaves are flat and there is very little dust. The leaves vary in size and color. For example, some leaves appear to be over-fired, with tinges of yellow. Most leaves are a dull, flat green, typical of average quality teas. There are also a number of beautifully bright green and fresh-looking leaves. Most of the leaves are whole, or nearly so. Some have bits of stem attached. I believe the unevenness of the leaves is a result of mass production, but really, that whole hand-picked, formed, and processed bit is now a myth, isn't it? For that quality, you'd be paying many times this price. This is a good Dragon Well for the price, and good for two or three brews. It's also good iced. Sippy, sippy!

Eatable tea leaves.
I've used the tea for the past 17 years. It's made from only the new leaves at the beginning of the growing season. The leave are totally eatable. almost no flavor but can be consumed same as veggies in a soup.

It's not as advertised
This isn't premium dragon well, not even second grade. Look at the photo attached, which is what I've received to what's in the picture advertised, not even close. In the advertised image, the tea leaves are uniformly sized young full leaves, with pale green, what premium dragon well supposed to look, which is why I made my purchase. The product I've received hard to find any leave that isn't broken in pieces, and mostly dark older leaves, mixed with some twigs. It's not what I've intended to purchase

Large Leaves
This loose green tea is delightfully fresh and flavorful. When brewed, the leaves expand and make a great cup of tea. There’s no/to little powdery residue. I reorder as soon as my stash gets low so I never run out. That it’s organic is an extra bonus.

VERY MILD TEA
This is a VERY MILD tea. But it does taste good, if you like MILD teas. The instruction state to use 1 tsp per 8 oz cup. No way! You'll never taste a thing. I broke the leaves up & used about 2 tbsp. It also states to steep/soak it for 2-3 min. But... I steeped/soaked it for 10 min. to get any flavor. Now, I don't know if this is normal for this type of Chinese tea, but there seems to be more small twigs then leaves in the bag. May be normal, or a lower quality tea?

Classic and excellent green tea...
I love this stuff along side the Gyokuro Japanese green tea. To me, it has more of the 'classic green tea' flavor that I really enjoy, and you get quite a lot of this product for what you pay (as opposed to the Gyokuro). The standards apply, of keeping the water not too hot, not too much tea to steep, and then 2-3 minutes per... but this stuff is a little less sensitive if you forget about it for a few minutes or even put very hot water on it. It's a 'must have' if you're looking to step up your green tea experience.
